Wednesday - Sunny but cold

Today was a quiet but nice day. I got up at my usual time or thereabouts and went downstairs and then came back. I watched the news from my bed and then fell asleep after a bit. 

I got up, did a load of laundry and then got into stuff on my computer. I also unpicked the trees that I sewed last night, and I resewed one side of it. I did plan to do the other side later, but never got back to it.

I had lunch and while I was eating I decided to actually watch a DVD. I had bought a couple recently at a second hand shop, so decided to watch one today. I saw The Craft and thought it was okay. I’d never seen it before, I can’t imagine why…maybe it came out around the time I left Canada, I’m not sure. 

I watched the news and then went downstairs to get a start on dinner. I wasn’t too sure what I’d make, but ended up with chicken from the shop, baked instead of fried, then salad and steamed Brussel Sprouts. I also did pan-fried potatoes tonight too, which turned out to be quite popular. F added on a bit of kimchi so that was okay. 

F collapsed after dinner in a heap of pain and tiredness, so I got on with the dishes. I’d managed to do a few while I was cooking so it wasn’t too terrible. 

I did up the garbage when I finished doing the dishes, so that I didn’t have to come back later and do it. It is so cold in the kitchen. F did bring in a kerosene heater for me tonight, but I made him take it back. He wanted to put it under the table but I realized that refilling it would mean I’d have to move the whole heater. It’s also big and didn’t fit under the table that well, so I might back into it. I thought it would be dangerous. We’re thinking of getting another oil heater so it doesn’t need to be refilled. I might have to turn it on a bit early before I go down to cook, but at least I might be warm!

After dinner, I came upstairs for a bit. F was cold so he got into bed right away. I went and took a shower a bit later and then came back and watched New Amsterdam. I enjoyed it as always. It’s quite sad, we’re still near the beginning of the second season. 

And that’s about it for my day. I did fill up the kerosene heater tonight because I didn’t want to do it early in the morning.  

Not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I hope that I have a good day and get something done. I also have to figure out what to cook for dinner! Wish me luck.  Until tomorrow….
