Tuesday - Rainy and cold
I woke up this morning surprised that my alarm went off. I hadn’t heard F leave at all. I went downstairs, came back up to watch the news and fell asleep in bed. I did make it through the BBC news and most of the Singapore news first though. I woke up over an hour later with the heater off. I was very surprised!
I got up, dressed and got on with my day. I had an okay one. In the early part of the day I did some more angel making, I made parts for two more. Then, I tried to watch a movie I’d recorded, but part of it wasn’t in English, it was in Spanish or Italian or something, so I turned it off and deleted it off the DVR. Maybe I’ll get a subtitled version one day. I watched another episode of The Rookie. It was okay, no worries.
For lunch I tried some of the new Nut Butter that we got at Costco last trip. It was good. It might disappear quickly!
Tonight for dinner I made chili for the first time in…well, almost ever. I made it once in 4-H when I was young, but the recipe was long and convoluted and really didn’t taste that good, so I never made it again. I served it to K and F on rice with shredded lettuce and cheese and a dollop of sour cream on top. It was a little spicy, but it was good too. Everyone seemed to like it. I don’t know if K liked it that much, especially at first, but she did finish her bowl.
I did the clean up. There wasn’t a whole lot since I’ve been cutting back on side dishes, etc. The kitchen is just too damn cold to spend extra time in there.
F and I went out for a few groceries for the next couple of days. We’ll either have fish or chicken tomorrow night, I haven’t completely decided yet.
We came back to the house, put away the groceries and then I came upstairs and wrote Christmas Cards. I think I wrote the overseas ones tonight, and they are mostly all done. I’m a tad worried if I can get them to the post office tomorrow or not. I hope so!
I watched the new show Prodigal Son and then The Handmaid’s Tale. I had planned to just record that one, but I watched it. I couldn’t resist!
And that’s about it. I did have a bit of a chat with hubby tonight. He all of a sudden decided that he would have a conversation with me. He was complaining about his relatives and his co-workers so I think I’m a fairly neutral person to speak to!
Tomorrow, the big hope/plan for me is to get to the post office. I have to mail Christmas cards and also my Christmas ornament for the exchange I’m in. I really hope the person likes what I’m sending. I like the stuff so it should be okay!
Come back later if you like and hear all about my Wednesday. Until tomorrow….
