Wednesday - Sunny and warmish

When my alarm went off this morning I was surprised that it was already morning. I got up and, yes, I did my news watching from the bed. I tried not to fall asleep, although I may have nodded off a little. I heard running downstairs and knew that F had popped home for a minute. 

I went downstairs to see him and caught him just as he was leaving again. He was working. 

I had a quiet morning and then afternoon. I did a bunch of lesson planning and sketched out plans for this week’s classes. Tomorrow I have to start next week’s, after I teach the two I have.

I did lesson planning up until 4 pm, then I spent a bit of time on my computer. F called around 5:30 pm and asked about dinner, he said he would pick it up, so I let him.  

I went downstairs around 6 and started warming up the kitchen. I did a few dishes from the day and put on the kettle to make soup. F and K had miso soup, I had cream of mushroom. F came back around 6:30 and we ate soon afterwards. F had got me a Chicken Nanban, he had tempura and K got a mix bento with fish. We all seemed to like them a lot. We finished up the last of the bread pudding. It was quite delicious and I really hope I can make it again. Next time I’ll leave out the cranberries and just use chocolate chips!

I did the dishes after dinner, listened to another chapter or two of P&P, some news, and my friend’s podcast. This is the first one I haven’t enjoyed as much, mostly because the sound was wonky. While I’m doing noisy things like dishes it can be hard to hear people talking on my phone’s speaker.

F and I went out after dinner to MaxValu again to get food for tomorrow night. I’m going to do pasta again, I need something simple. When I’m at work on Friday night, F is going to have ramen with K. I think I’ll get a bento from a convenience store if I can find a good one.

I had a quiet night tonight. I took a shower, watched Shameless, tried to prepare for tomorrow and think about what I might need. I just took a quick minute to put some extra masks in my purse and checked my pens were in my bag too. 

I’ve decided that I’m going to try and get to bed soonish as I need a bit of extra sleep, so that’s all you get from me for today. Come back later if you like and hear how my first workday in about a year goes. Until tomorrow….
