Tuesday - Rainy and colder
Today was a bit different than usual. I’m glad that I’m able to say that! I can’t give too much information about part of my day, but that’s okay, right?
I got up early this morning and wanted to sleep more, but was worried about oversleeping. I went back to bed, set about 3 extra alarms and got up a bit later.
I had an earlier than usual breakfast and a cup of tea, then got dressed in my going out clothes. Around 11:45 I left the house and walked to the bus stop. It was raining so I’m glad that I brought my umbrella along. I did consider not bringing one at one point, but happily I did.
I got to the bus stop on time, maybe a minute or two early. There was already someone waiting for the bus. Another lady joined us a couple of minutes later. We waited and waited, all socially distant and masked up in the rain. The bus was more than five minutes late. Normally I wouldn’t care, but it was raining quite hard now.
Finally, the bus arrived and we all got on. We had a fairly quiet ride to wherever we were going. Most people like me were going to S-Mall, but not everyone did.
At the mall, I went to the Daiichi Hotel and had lunch. Yes it was a little expensive, but I hardly ever get to go there and I do have a membership card so I got a small discount. Yay me. Today I had one of the pasta dishes, it was small shrimp, mushrooms and spinach in a cream sauce. It came with a drink, salad and a very nice dessert. They had dessert that was Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival) themed. It looked a little like the display that we see around this time of year.
After paying, I went into the mall and visited the hundred yen shop. I was looking for a couple of specific things, and I found them. One of the things I got was a small shoehorn.
I went to the washroom and changed my shoes. I had worn my regular casual shoes to the mall, and I wanted to put on my good shoes.
After that, I went to Doutors and had a cup of tea. I met up with a person and we had a nice chat and exchange of information. About an hour later she drove me back to the house and then went on her way.
I went into the house and changed and relaxed for a while. I watched the news and then the documentary afterwards before I went downstairs and got started on dinner.Tonight F would be late, he’d told me the night before, so I didn’t panic about getting things done in time. I made Gapao Rice again, using a spice packet and actually it turned out really well. I served our portions to K and I and we had a nice dinner. She told me that it was delicious a couple of times so I think that she liked it! I did tell her that F would be late. She’s rather sweet when I tell her that, she stays up late for him!
We finished dinner and I washed and dried the dishes. I went upstairs for a few minutes and then F phoned to say he was on the way. He’d eaten ramen earlier, but did want some of the Gapao Rice.
When he arrived he said hi to his mother and I asked him if he really wanted me to make him dinner. He did, but asked for a smaller amount of rice. He took his dinner through to the living room and ate. We had a little chat while he was eating, and his mother looked on. I reminded F that we were supposed to go grocery shopping tonight, but he was too tired. We’ll do it tomorrow. We might have to have bentos for dinner on Wednesday, we’ll see! F took himself off to the bedroom, I cleaned up a second time and K went to bed!
I came upstairs and F was in bed. We chatted a little bit and then I watched a bit of TV. I watched episode 5 of Absentia and then Prodigal Son. I enjoyed them both. I did quite a bit of crochet tonight too. I’m glad as it really does help me relax and I have been getting a bit hyper again.
So now I’m kicking back, blogging and watching late night pundits on YouTube. I’m laughing, but somethings just aren’t funny. Okay, that’s it for me.
Come back later if you like and hear what I get up to on Wednesday. Until tomorrow….
