Sunday - Cold but sunny
I went to bed around 4 am this morning and then didn’t wake up again until 10:00am when my alarm went off. I didn’t get up until a little after 11 am. F had woken up early and then he got up and made his mother something to eat. When he came back upstairs we discussed where to go for our lunch. Since we had no ideas, I asked him if he’d still like to go to the Aquarium. He’d suggested it yesterday, but I wasn’t too interested then. Today I thought the drive down there would be beautiful.
We drove to the Aquarium, went in and had lunch at the restaurant there. We had the Fugu special again and it was good this time too, but possibly not as good as the first time we went. The restaurant was quite busy today.
During our meal we got a good look at the staff feeding the Elephant Seal below. That was actually rather cool.
We toured the Aquarium which was as cool as ever. Unfortunately it was quite busy and people weren’t mindful of the 2 meters distance. F and I did our best to stay away from other people. After a while, the rushers went on and us slow pokes took our time. That was great. I took many gorgeous pictures of jellyfish, they are posted on Instagram if you’d like to check them out.

Sample of what you'd see! |
After the aquarium, we drove to Mikawa Aeon Mall and had some ice cream. We also bought a few groceries there and some food for tonight. I rebelled and refused to have anything with rice, so I got some chicken. I also got some chicken to cook for dinner tomorrow night. Yay me?
We came back to the house and F and I got dinner on the table. As usual, I got stuck doing most of the work! Dinner was okay. I put some salsa and tortilla chips out too and most of the food disappeared.
I cleaned up and F left to go and get a massage. He wasn’t doing that well this weekend and deserved a little him-time. I listened to Pride and Prejudice and then a podcast while I did the dishes. I came upstairs and relaxed for a bit. I wrote some email, got ready for my class tomorrow, I shaved a shirt that I wanted to wear…what? An old “teacher-y” shirt that I had in the closet was looking a little pill-y so I shaved it with a doohickey from the hundred yen shop. It looked pretty good afterwards.
And that’s about it. I took a shower after F came back, and now I’m trying to wind down and get ready for bed. I have an early class tomorrow so I can’t stay up late.
There were other things today. A kerfuffle in my women’s group led to two members leaving today. One I’m a little sad about.
So, that’s it for me for tonight. Come back later if you like and hear most of the news about my day. Until tomorrow….

Hi Helen,
Would you post more jellyfish pictures or provide a link to your Instagram? The one you posted is so beautiful! I could watch jellyfish the whole day and night- seriously.
Good luck with your classes tomorrow!
Marta
Sure, I think this should work. You probably have to have an Instagram account to really see the pictures though. Try this link... https://www.instagram.com/stellastarstruck/
You might have to copy and paste. The Jellyfish are so amazing!
And class was good! Thanks for the wishes :-)
Also, if you are interested, here is a video about the man who runs the Kamo Aquarium from NHK. It's in English (some subtitled Japanese). There are quite a lot of Jellyfish shots too. It's quite interesting. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/2043064/ (expires Jan 2022)
It worked- Thank you!
Really cool pictures! :)
