Friday - Sunny and hot
I thought I might be having the same kind of day that I’ve had for the last couple of days, but I didn’t. While that is good, the reason I didn’t just stay in bed and sleep isn’t. I was watching the news from the bed this morning and then I realized that the bed was moving. Yup, we were having an earthquake! It wasn’t a big one, but I decided to get dressed just in case.
I didn’t fall asleep today, so I was able to do a load of laundry and hang it up in my room. Yay. I even folded up the laundry that was dry at a reasonable time. I watched The Deer Hunter as well. It was on cable this morning, so I recorded it and watched it. It was good, but I was expecting something more, I liked the performances, but found it not to my taste.
Grabbed my lunch after 2 and K was in my way. However, she did leave the kitchen so I was able to get on with it. I had a nice lunch and finished up the last tortilla as well.
I didn’t get to watch The Walking Dead today, but watching the movie took up most of the time, so no worries.
F called around 5:30 to say he was on his way. I went downstairs and started to get things ready for dinner. I also took my drawer with me. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and just hadn’t set it up. I set it up downstairs, sterilized the inside and put a liner in it. I washed a few of my utensils and put them inside the drawer. I’ll gradually wash the utensils from the old cardboard box and put them in the drawer. I’m so happy to have my own space for my stuff.
Tonight for dinner we had plain old spaghetti. I asked F to pick the sauce, which he did. He picked a mushroomy one. We had some salad with cucumber, steamed mushrooms and a smoked duck breast. It was nice. Everyone had seconds, which was good!
I did the dishes, listened to a couple of podcasts and then started listening to The Secret Garden. I only got the first chapter done, but that’s okay.
After I finished the dishes I came upstairs. F was close to being in bed. After a bit of time and a cup of tea, I went downstairs to take a shower.
I decided to clean the bathroom, so I spent quite a bit of time doing that. It’s amazing how different the room looks when I have my glasses on than when I don’t! Anyway, the bathroom looks fairly good now. I didn’t clean all of the room, but I made a lot of yucky things disappear.
After that, I took a shower in the newly cleaned bathroom. When I was about to go upstairs, I noticed that F had taken my bottles of water upstairs. I was quite touched!
When I got upstairs, F was watching a video so I asked him to call the police because someone stole my water bottles! I thanked him after that!
And that’s about it. I watched some Apple+ TV and enjoyed it. I’m now blogging and watching YouTube. Tomorrow I have a dental appointment in the morning. However, F wants to go to his doctor before my appointment, so I really hope these things can happen!
