Monday - Sunny and warmish
I went to bed a little later than I planned last night but did manage to get up when my alarm went off. I watched the news and the news I recorded overnight, although I did snooze through the non-English stuff. I may have fallen asleep after the news, for a few minutes.
I grabbed my breakfast and watched a bit of YouTube this afternoon. Around 1:30 I went downstairs to make a marinade for dinner and then to make my lunch. I did have a surprise though, F came back to the house. He was waiting for someone to finish their work, so he came to the house for a break.
I ate my lunch and put on a movie I’d recorded overnight. It wasn’t very good. I was rather disappointed in it. It was Welcome to Marwen and I don’t recommend it. F left after a while.
I finished the movie, watched the news and after a bit, went downstairs to start dinner. Tonight was fairly simple but turned out rather well. I made garlic/soy-sauced pork with garlic and dill new potatoes plus a salad. I served a few dill pickles with dinner as well. For dessert, we had half a Costco chocolate muffin with half a tub of vanilla ice cream each. It’s the first time F and I had any of our muffins. K helped herself to them yesterday, I wasn’t too happy about that. Dinner was good.
I did the dishes as usual but listened to my podcasts. That was good.
I went upstairs when I was finished and fired up my computer. I watched a couple of things off Apple+TV. I watched an episode of Little America which I liked and the second episode of Trying. That was funny. Then, I turned on the TV to catch tonight’s episode of The Good Wife. It was quite good, as usual.
That’s about it for the day though. F is off tomorrow. He’s hoping to book his mother’s vaccination in the morning. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he manages.
