 Friday - Cloudy and cool

Today was okay, but a little different in a way. I got up when my alarm went off. I went downstairs then came back and watched some news. I snoozed a bit afterwards, but then put on my recorded news from earlier. I snoozed a little on it too.

I got up finally, dressed and grabbed breakfast. I ended up watching the end of a movie that I’ve been watching little by little for a couple of weeks. It was great. Blinded by the Light, about a British-Pakistani guy who fell in love with the music of Bruce Springsteen. It was a sweet little movie. 

I went downstairs to grab my lunch. I had planned to give K food too, but she was nowhere to be seen. I went upstairs and ate my lunch. Normally, I’d put on my usual programme, but I decided to watch another movie that was on the DVR. It was Guns, Girls and Gambling with Christian Slater and Gary Oldman. It was okay. It was a bit Tarantino-lite, but I enjoyed it. 

I also did a few Postcrossings today! I have only done two this year so I more than doubled that today. I am glad though. I’ve been feeling very guilty about this though. 

I went downstairs to start dinner after F called. Tonight’s dinner was a simple one, just pasta and sausages with salad. I could have prepared more, but I decided not to do that. I liked tonight’s dinner, but neither F nor K had more pasta, although K had two sausages and I had extra pasta.  I did the dishes and they were done fairly early. Yay. I listened to my usual news and then more of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Just enjoying it so far.

I went upstairs when I finished and…F was asleep, or very nearly. I turned off the lights for him and came over to my own little corner. I had a good time! I watched some Apple TV and then watched some YouTube. I had a midnight snack and did a little crochet too. I also did another postcard tonight, so that makes 3 for the day. Woot. 

Around 2:30 F got up and started talking to me. He was asking about making plans for our anniversary. He remembered! Yay. He’s got some good ideas, so I hope that it works out. 

So, that’s it for me for today. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow, so come back later and find out. Until tomorrow….
