Saturday - Rainy and cold

I slept in this morning, and it was lovely! I finally dragged myself out of bed around 11, around the same time that F went downstairs to cook for his mother.  

I got dressed and after a while, F came up and yes, did his usual demand for ramen. Dear God, is there no end to it? We had been having a good day, why on earth would he get all whiny about ramen again? Anyway, I gave him a choice of restaurants, one of which serves ramen and curry. He picked that one. We went out to Tai near Voice. 

I had chicken cutlet curry and F had hiyashi chuuka. He liked it but complained it was expensive. Later he said it was really big. He just likes to complain. 

We did a little bit of shopping after lunch. We went to Musashi to get K some drinks and while we were there I picked up something for the house. After that, we went to a drugstore and picked up a few more things. While we were there, I noticed that the craft shop next door was closed. I really hope they are closed for Obon and not closed for good. I like that craft store and I’m a member there! 

We went back to the house but on the way, I suggested picking up a bento for K’s dinner since we were planning to go out to the mall. F thought it was a good idea, so we did it.

We went back to the house then and relaxed for an hour or so. We were supposed to leave before 5 pm, but we didn’t. F wasn’t feeling well and we didn’t leave until it was a bit late. 

We got to the mall, went in and bought our tickets to see The Suicide Squad right away. We didn’t have a lot of spare time, but went in and watched the movie. We both quite enjoyed it. I don’t know if it was the best film ever, well, actually I do and it wasn’t, but it was quite a bit of fun. It was violent though. 

After the movie, we went to the food court and had bibinba. It was quite nice. I liked mine a lot, F didn’t like his as much.

We came back to the house and I joined a Zoom meeting that the women in this area were having. It was quite a lot of fun. We discussed books and movies and teaching by computer. 

I took a shower around 11 pm and then F took one a bit later. I’ve been YouTubing and trying to blog. F has been a bit out of sorts and whining about my bedtime again. The more he complains about it, the more upset I get with him.

Anyway, that’s about it for me for today. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. In the morning, F and K are going off to Oyama for an Obon/memorial thing. I’m planning to stay here and take care of a few things. I hope to do a bit of shopping a bit later.
