Sunday - Rainy and sunny and stormy
F and I woke up fairly early today. We had plans! We left the house around 10:25 and made a quick stop at a convenience store for a rice ball and a drink. We headed out towards the Mall in Mikawa.
We went to see Free Guy today and it was fun. We both enjoyed it a lot. I had taken my shawl with me as lately the cinema can be really cold. They circulate the air and the force of it can make the room chilly. Halfway through the movie, I noticed that F was cold so he got to wear my lovely shawl! I had long sleeves so I was fine, but he was wearing a short-sleeved shirt.
After the film, we drove back into Tsuruoka. Neither of us was starving, but we decided to go and have a late lunch. We went to Arpeggio. F was lucky enough to get the last 10 item tray so I had the half-steak set meal. I really liked mine.
When we finished lunch, we went over to Komeda’s Coffee for a nice cup of iced decaf coffee. We were there for a little bit and then went to the hundred yen shop. I really wanted to visit the hundred yen shop and I picked up a few things like combs and sponges and some snacks for myself.
We hit up a grocery store to get something for K and went back to the house with it. I was still quite full from lunch, so didn’t really want to think about eating yet.
F and I relaxed for a while and I said to him that if we were going to eat we should go out before 8 pm because we wouldn’t have any choices after then. We went out a little earlier and couldn’t find anyplace that we wanted to eat that was open. F would suggest a place, we’d go, and it would be closed. Or, I would suggest someplace and the same thing. Finally, we just decided to buy groceries and pick up something at the deli department. Well, F managed to get something, but I didn’t. I looked but they were out of everything that would tempt me. To be honest, they were out of almost everything!
After we finished at the grocery store, I did ask if we could go through the McDonald's drive-through, but F didn’t really understand that I wanted to eat something so we didn’t go. We did fill the car up with gas, however.
We came back to the house and had a quiet evening in. I’ve been watching YouTube and trying to stay cool. There was a lot of thunder tonight and so I decided to skip my shower! I’m still paranoid about that.
And that’s about it for today. It was a good day, but F wasn’t feeling great and I found this evening frustrating. Tomorrow I’m back to cooking and trying to stay cool. The weather isn’t the horrid 36 degrees that it was before, but 30 degrees with high humidity is quite hot in our room. I’ve been using the AC quite a bit and will continue to do so until it cools down more.
