Thursday - Humid and rainy
Last night, going to bed was quite odd. F wasn’t sleeping. He was up really late. I had lost track of time and didn’t realize how late it was. I got myself off to bed quickly and I think F went fairly soon afterwards. I fell asleep.
This morning, I did wake up when F got up but fell back asleep soon. I woke up when my alarm went off later and it was nice because I had set my fan to come on before I woke up. It was lovely and cool when I did wake up.
I had a quiet relaxing morning, but after I got up I did three loads of laundry. It took a while, but I got it done. I should do some tomorrow too. There was nowhere to hang it up today!
I had breakfast and a bit later lunch. I watched Shameless but not much else today. I meant to, I just never got around to it. I did some repairs to some of my clothes too. I’m not sure when I’ll get back to Canada to get more clothes so I have to keep what I have going. When I got my lunch I also gave F’s bento from last night to K so that we knew that she’d eaten something.
F tried to call me, but unfortunately, I missed his call. I think my phone is still set on silent mode. It’s confusing! I took it off, but it still seems quiet.
I went downstairs to start dinner. I did well tonight I think. I did lemon pepper chicken, eggplant, cucumber pickle and we had a salad with it and I also put together some dessert. I had bought a couple of smoothie packets a few weeks ago, tonight I made smoothies for us for our dessert! I know they should have been in glasses, but we didn’t have the right size for them. I made up the smoothies and put them in the fridge.
We had a pretty nice meal. F had the Paralympics on downstairs. It was okay. I’m just not a sports fan.
I did the dishes listening to my news podcast and then a couple of chapters of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I am really enjoying it a lot!
When I finished I came upstairs and relaxed in front of my computer for a while. I watched a bit of YouTube. I made myself some tea and I just had an urge for a cookie. I asked F if I could have some and he said yes. Then, he asked if I’d like to go out for ice cream. I said no because I’d washed most of my going-out clothes this morning! F went out and bought himself (and me) some ice cream and snacks. The ice creams he chose were sharable, so we shared our ice creams. It was nice!
And that’s about it for our day. F is off to sleep I hope. I’m going to go to bed soon as I am rather tired. Oh, side-effects wise…nothing much today. I’ve had odd twinges on my shoulder, but not much else today.
