Sunday - Hot and Sunny
I was woken up this morning around 8 am when F’s alarm went off. He got up, I did too for a few minutes. After he left, I went back to bed and fell asleep again. I woke up around 11 when my late alarm went off. I got up and around the same time, F came back into the room. He’d been back for 30 minutes but spent time downstairs watching the Olympics.
He was doing okay after his vaccination and wanted to go out for lunch. Today I suggested going for Chinese food, so F wanted to go out to the Kushibiki restaurant We went there. It was quite nice. I had mabo yakisoba and F had cold ramen. Mine was good, he said his was okay.
We went to Homac and F bought a few things there. We looked at fans for a few minutes. I’d like to get a new one as mine is quite old and has some problems. He bought some pyjamas and some general “stuff”. After that, we went to Komeda Coffee and each had a cake set. We didn’t stay there that long today, which is probably a good thing. We came back to the house for a while. I had planned to watch a movie but didn’t.
Around 6 or so, F asked what I’d like for dinner. I wasn’t hungry yet so I didn’t answer. Around 7 pm, F asked if I wanted to go for yakiniku. Since I like yakiniku I said I would, but it wasn’t good for him. Then he said we could go for ramen. Well, that didn’t go over well. I asked him if those were my only options? Apparently yes. Then, F announced that he was going out for ramen. And, he left.
I changed into my going out clothes and when he came back later I asked him if he’d take me out to get something to eat. He agreed. I asked for a couple of places, the first one was closed, so he took me to Coco Ichibanya. He refused to come in with me. He handed me 750 yen in coins in the car. I asked him if he could spare it. He said that was how much ramen cost. Eye roll.
I went into the restaurant and got a menu. It took me a while to decide what to have and then I ordered. I ate and it was quite nice. I paid. It cost a little more than F gave me, but I had a drink which I’m sure he didn’t account for.
When I went back out to the car, F was watching the Olympic Games closing ceremony. He wouldn’t leave for a few minutes. He drove to the grocery store finally and we went in. He bought something for his mother and then a few things for himself and a couple of things for me.
We came back to the house. F gave his mother her stuff. I came upstairs and put on the closing ceremonies. Unfortunately, they interrupted them with the news and then F wanted to watch that. Oh well. I wasn’t that interested anyway.
When the news was finished, I put on a TV programme. I had already seen it, so I switched to watching a movie that I recorded yesterday. It was Palm Springs, about people caught in a time loop at a wedding. It wasn’t the best movie ever, but it was fine.
F went downstairs to take a shower and then when my movie finished, I took one too. When I came back, F was nearly asleep. He’s quite tired and having a few after-effects from the vaccine. I’m hoping he’ll be better tomorrow. He’d better smarten up a bit too or neither of us will have a good day.
Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
