Thursday - Sunny and warmer
I had an okay day today. It was much better than yesterday, so that’s a positive thing!
I got up at my usual time and went downstairs. I did have a little snooze and watch the news thing this morning, but after the news finished, I got up and dressed, then went back for a bit of a snooze and early news. I ended up oversleeping and wasn’t able to do any laundry today. Oh, dear.
I got up and grabbed breakfast, then I decided to start a movie for a change. I put on Chain Reaction, an old Keanu Reeves/Rachel Weisz film. It was silly, but let me spend some time on my computer too.
I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. K still didn’t eat the plate I made for her yesterday. In fact, she moved it to the back of the fridge. Sigh. There was some lovely chicken and duck on the plate, so I’m a little annoyed that she didn’t eat it. Oh well.
Later on, when I got my lunch I watched an episode of The Walking Dead. It was a bit of a sad one as someone who has been in the show from the very beginning died. I also planned another lesson for next week. I hope things will go well.
I spent some time on my computer and I was just going to go downstairs to start dinner when F called. I didn’t think he would after yesterday, but he was cheerful and sweet on the phone. He was probably trying to get back in my good books after yesterday’s unfortunate dinner. He mostly succeeded!
Tonight for dinner I just did something simple. I did Jerk chicken (the Japanese version of it!), fried mushrooms and the leftovers from the last couple of days. We had salad, kabocha-tuna salad, leftover stir-fry, gobo salad and K and F had rice too. It was all pretty good. I managed to get dinner on the table early, so I was able to get the clean-up done early too.
I went upstairs to change and have a couple of minutes of relaxation. F came up soon afterwards and he changed too. We went off to MaxValu.
While we were driving to MaxValue, I noticed that there was something on the outside of my door, on the window. F said he thought it was a frog, but I didn’t at first. However, it was!
We arrived at the grocery store and parked. I said to F that I hoped the frog would stay on the car so we could take it back. The supermarket parking lot wouldn’t be a good place for a frog.
We went into the store and grabbed our groceries. We didn’t take that long. We got back to the car, and the frog was still on my door. In fact, it was on the crease between my door and the back door. It moved a bit and I was able to open my door to get in the car. We headed off towards F’s house, but sadly, when we got there, the little frog was gone. I hope if he jumped off, he was able to find a nice place to live.
We came back to the house and put the groceries away. We went upstairs and relaxed for a bit. Both of us took showers, although mine was a bit earlier than F’s. He fell asleep for a few minutes before he took his!
And that was about it for my day. Tomorrow night I’m going to make pasta again and then the weekend will start. I hope it is a good one!
