Saturday - Cloudy and rainy
F woke me up this morning, as he often does. When he realized that I was awake he asked me to phone him as he’d misplaced his phone. He found it as I grabbed my phone. Argh. I went back to sleep for a while.
I got up a bit later and got mostly dressed! F came back into the room around noon and put himself on the bed. He said he wasn’t feeling great. He had a headache and made sure that I knew it. After a while, he remembered that I hadn’t eaten yet and actually suggested a restaurant for us to go to. It was okay with me, so off we went. We’ve tried to go a few times over the pandemic but it has always been closed. Today it was open!
We went in and got a table. We had a seat on the floor which is why I don’t really like this place, but no worries today. I had the sashimi lunch and F had the tempura lunch. We both liked our lunches although F complained about the rice. He always has to complain about something.
After lunch, we went to S-Mall and I bought us something to drink. I tried the new coffee drink while F had a milkshake. We had a nice relaxing time and then we left. I wanted to visit the hundred yen shop, and did. We spent a little time there and then left the mall.
We decided to go to the grocery store and get a nice bento for K’s dinner. F picked out something for her, and we grabbed a couple of other things at the store too.
At the house, F gave his mother the bento while I got ready to go out to the mall. I grabbed my shawl and F picked up his jacket. We went off to the mall.
At the mall, we had a few minutes before the movie started so we bought the tickets and then debated whether to eat or not. F wanted to, but there were only 25 minutes and the bibinba that I like would take longer to eat as it would be too hot for me. F decided not to eat after all.
Today for a change we decided to share popcorn. We had asked for a large but they don’t sell them anymore! What? They don’t know me! I got a medium drink and F got a large one. Later he decided it was too big! Mine was perfect for me.
We went to see Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We both liked it a lot. I am always happy to see Michelle Yeoh in anything and the film itself was a lot of fun. It seemed like the idea of family was more important than the Marvel superpower stuff. I liked it, would be happy to see another movie in the series.
We came back to Tsuruoka and had a late dinner at Gusto. I had chicken and F had a burger. We shared some fries as well. I was fine with the food, F not so much.
We came back to the house and relaxed for a while. I watched a little TV and F went to bed. He wasn’t and still isn’t feeling that good. His stomach is acting up and he still has a headache. I feel bad for him.
So, that’s about it for my day. The movie was great, hubs and I didn’t fight about food and it was good. We have a few ideas about tomorrow, but you’ll have to come back and see what we end up doing! Come back later if you like and hear all about it. Until tomorrow….
