Sunday - Sunny and clear
I went to bed quite late last night. F wasn’t sleeping well and was looking at his computer. I read for a bit in bed and then decided to go to sleep. I woke up first around 6 am and then went back to sleep. F was still not sleeping. I woke up briefly around 9 and F was downstairs with his mother. I went back to sleep for a little bit longer but got up after a while.
F and I went out for lunch to a restaurant near S-Mall. We both had the same thing, a lunch set with sashimi and tempura. It was quite nice and it was in a nice setting. Of course, F complained that it was overpriced. Eye roll. I swear, he just doesn’t understand that if you want to eat somewhere/something nice you have to pay for it!
After lunch, he wasn’t feeling that great so we did a quick turn around S-Mall and then went to Starbucks. We both had iced coffee for a change so it was a little cheaper than double fraps and we also scored some nice seats which was excellent! After we finished, we hit up the drugstore near the SB and got a few things we needed for us.
We came back to the house for a while and relaxed. It was nice. I hoped that we’d go somewhere nice for dinner, but F was saying he wanted to eat lower carbs. I suggested that we go to Kula Sushi since you can order sushi with half the amount of rice. F seemed to agree and made a reservation. We took his mother there too.
We got seated and started ordering things. I told F that I’d have the half rice sushi too, so he started ordering things for us. He ordered one with half rice, and two with full rice for us. Huh? Oh, he wasn’t going to eat the half rice, that wouldn’t be sushi then. Eye roll. His mother also did a lovely thing to me too. She got out two pairs of chopsticks from the box, gave one to F and kept one and deliberately closed the box while looking at me. Now I know that she’s old and not the sharpest tack in the box anymore, but it was rather hurtful. I said to F that it made me feel like I wasn’t part of the family. He got mad at me for saying that and I think he would have left at that point if he could have. I don’t get it. I’m the one who feels bad but he gets angry at me?! Huh?
We left after an hour or so. K might have been full, but the rest of us weren’t. I didn’t get much stuff that I liked. K polished off most of the French Fries I had ordered and she doubled dipped in the ketchup as usual. The only good thing about that is it meant I didn’t have any ketchup. I shouldn’t really anyway.
When we finished, we brought K back to the house and then went off to the grocery store again. As usual, there was NOTHING left that I wanted to cook. There was very little left in the precooked food too and most of the salads were gone. It was barely 8 pm and the store was open for another couple of hours. What is going on?
We stopped to get some gas for the car and then came back to F’s house. We unpacked the groceries and then F stayed downstairs to watch the end of the Paralympics. I went upstairs and got into my PJs. I relaxed in front of my computer for a while and then F came upstairs. He took a shower first tonight and then I did. I was quite mad during my shower and just afterwards, but when I came upstairs F actually talked to me instead of ignoring me so I got over it.
We tried some of the Cheetos Flaming Hot snacks tonight. They were too hot for us! F quit eating his first and then I did. It is definitely the kind of food that would give me bad dreams!
So, that’s it for me for tonight. To be honest, it wasn’t the best day, I’m a bit frustrated that we didn’t get much done. F just hasn’t felt that well this weekend.
Anyway, come back later if you like and hear all about my day on Monday. Until tomorrow….
