Thursday - Sunny and clear
I went to bed at a terribly late hour last night, and then I couldn’t fall asleep for a while. Yesterday wasn’t a great day, it ended okay, but the daytime was a bit stressful.
When I did wake up this morning, I got up. I watched the news from early in the morning, got dressed and waited for F. I waited a long time!
F finally came back to the house sometime just before 1 pm. He made lunch for his mother and then we went out for ours. Since I got my lunch choice yesterday, I suggested his favourite fish place for lunch today. He was happy to agree.
We drove over to Okazaki and had lunch. Today’s special was ginger pork and sashimi. We both had the lunch and it was pretty good.
After lunch, we drove to the main post office and I mailed my sister’s birthday present. I didn’t send a huge box or anything, it had to be under 2 kg or I couldn’t send it. Right now the mail is so backed up that I can’t send things very easily. While I was at the post office, I also made a deposit of some of the coins that I have collected in the last couple of years. Starting next year, the post office is going to start charging to take coin. I can’t say I blame them, but I don’t like paying bank charges!
After the post office, I suggested going to Starbucks for a little while. I just didn’t want to go back to the house yet. We had a nice drink at Starbucks, their chocolate/strawberry Frappucino. Yum.
After this, I suggested going to the grocery store to pick up something for K’s dinner and our dinner tomorrow. Usually when we go, it is too late in the day and all the food is gone. Well, today we were lucky and there was quite a lot of stuff available. Yay us. I got a few things for dinner, hopefully it’ll be good.
We came back to the house with our food. F’s stomach wasn’t doing well, so we needed to get back. I put away the groceries and then came upstairs.
We spent a bit of time in the house and relaxed. F booked himself a massage, but couldn’t get in until 10:30. Crazy! His mother didn’t eat the bento for tonight, she ate the stuff for tomorrow morning…oh well, that’s K!
We went out for dinner around 7pm. I suggested going to Gusto and F agreed. We went over to the one near our old apartment and had an okay meal. F had a crab omelette and I had keema curry on rice with a side order of fries. I enjoyed my dinner a lot.
We came back to the house after dinner and F took a shower and got himself ready for his massage. I relaxed for a while. He left around 10 pm and I just had a quiet time without him.
F called me at 11:30 to say he was on his way back. He kindly stopped at a convenience store for me and picked up something for us both.
He’s gone to bed and he is sleeping, which is really good. He hasn’t been sleeping all the well lately and I’m worried about him. He has to go to work tomorrow, but then he’s got the weekend off.
