Tuesday - Cloudy but warm
I woke up early this morning, went downstairs and then came back upstairs and went back to sleep. It was fairly hard to get up after my alarm rang so I didn’t for a bit.
I got up and then did the thing where I went back to bed for a bit of a snooze. However, I did get up and watched the early morning news. I got my lunch around 11:30 and when I was eating, F called. His knee was terribly painful and he was taking the afternoon off to see the doctor. I reminded him that I was teaching in the afternoon and he wouldn’t be able to come into the room during my class times. I also asked him if he’d go and pick up my pants at the mall before he came back to the house.
He arrived back at the house a bit before 1 pm. I was in the midst of getting ready for my classes. I had half of the room set up already. He gave me my pants and to do him credit, after a few minutes to change his clothes, left the room.
Classes were okay today, everything went quite well. My computer kept dying in the first class, yikes. I finally figured out that the plug was only working one way. Towards the end of my second class, I could hear F make his painful way up the stairs. I wanted to stop him but I was still in class. He did open the door just a couple minutes before the end of class, but happily just closed the door again when he saw I was still working.
After my class I found him sitting halfway down the stairs. I felt bad for him because I knew how much pain he was in. He came back into the room and I put the room back to rights again.
He had been to the doctor and got more medicine. I’m not sure what can be done for him right now. I hope that his knee gets better.
Around 6pm I went downstairs to start on dinner. Tonight I was making a stir-fry. I had bought pre-cut vegetables, so most of the work was done, but I added some mushrooms and some pork. I had to check that the pork was in bite sizes. I got my air-fryer heated up and put the egg roll-like potato and cheese rolls in while I cooked the stir-fry. I was able to get dinner on the table a few minutes before 7 pm tonight. Woot!
Of course, I got no help from anybody again. It was rather annoying, but I dealt with it. F really couldn’t help much as he was in too much pain. I probably didn’t want to have K’s help anyway!
Dinner went over well. The stir fry was good and so were the cheese and potato things. Afterwards, I cleared the table and did some of the dishes. F was going to go to a drugstore for himself, so I popped into the hallway to ask him to get me some decaf coffee. While I was out there K went into the kitchen and turned off the lights. I was in the hall for two minutes. Honestly!
I went back into the kitchen, turned the lights back on and got on with the dishes. I listened to a couple of podcasts and then went upstairs. F had come back and he brought the decaf coffee I had asked for. Yay him!
Soon after that, we got ready to go out. I needed to pick up some groceries. We planned to get some kerosene too, but we put that off till tomorrow.
At the grocery store, I suggested that F stay in the car as I didn’t want him to have to walk too far, but he refused to do that! We got him a buggy to hold on to while he went around the store. Of course, that meant that we bought a lot of stuff!
We came back to the house and I put the groceries away and then came upstairs. I watched Clarice at 11 pm and then turned off the TV. I did some YouTubing and caught up on my various sites.
And that’s it for my day. Tomorrow I have a few things to do, my paperwork for my classes, maybe some planning too. I also have dinner to cook and perhaps even some laundry! Come back later if you like and hear all about my day.
