Saturday - Sunny and warm, cooler at night
I woke up at my usual time and went downstairs. I got a text from F which I answered. I came back and then went back to bed for a bit. F ended up coming back and we had a nice reunion.
We went to the doctor’s office where I advocated for myself. Hurray. We didn’t have to wait too long there for a change, but picked up our medicine and then went back to the car.
I insisted that we get a bento for K because there wasn’t much food in the house for her. F got her some fancy rice and I suggested a couple of meatballs for her. She likes them. We brought the food back to the house and F gave it to her.
We went off to F’s car dealership to see about getting a light on his heating panel fixed. It has stopped working. The dealership has to order a part so we’ll have to go back next weekend…on the long weekend. Grr!
We had lunch at the nearby Cocos. We both had the same thing today, a Caribbean-inspired curry. I liked it but it didn’t taste the way I expected. I liked it, I don’t think F liked it as much. We both had drink bar and I got F his drinks as he’s still having problems walking.
After our meal, F wanted to go back to the house for a nap. He didn’t get much sleep last night at his party. Apparently, there were two guys who stayed up all night talking loudly so he couldn’t sleep.
We came back to the house and F fell asleep almost immediately. I didn’t, but around 4 I went down for a half-hour nap. When my alarm went off, I suggested to F that we get going but he said that he felt dizzy. I called off tonight’s movie and dozed a few minutes longer. I got up around then and suggested that we get K something to eat. If F was up for it we could go out for dinner. We picked up another type of bento for K and delivered it.
After we did that, F felt better and up for going to the mall to see a movie. Yay. We drove out to Mikawa, but it was a bit odd. I had to keep reminding him where we were going. And I had to navigate!
We got to the cinema early for a change, yay. When we got there, F wanted to head for the concession stand before buying the tickets. I re-routed him! We got two tickets for The Batman. We waited a few minutes for the popcorn as the cinema wasn’t open yet. We got a different order of popcorn today, we got the gourmet popcorn and some regular popcorn. It was F’s idea, but it was great.
We went in and watched the movie. It wasn’t a barrel of laughs, but I really enjoyed it. I had been worried about the three-hour running time, but it was fine. I wasn’t bored and I thought that Robert Pattinson was a pretty decent Batman.
After the film, F and I left the mall and discussed dinner. We decided to come back to Tsuruoka and have gyudon. We went to Tsukyia and both had gyudon. I had mine with cheese, F had his in the teishoku style.
We came back to the house and F went to bed and fell asleep a little while later. I’m still up, but plan to go to bed very, very soon!
I’m not too sure what we’re going to get up to tomorrow. Come on back if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
