Monday - Cloudy and cooler
I woke up this morning after F left. I went downstairs and then came back and watched the news from the bed. When it was over I snoozed a little but got up and went downstairs. I grabbed my breakfast and then came upstairs and did a few things. I ate my breakfast and watched the early morning news.
I had a quiet day today. I didn’t see too much of my MIL. She’s still sleeping for a lot of the day, although she did get up and watch TV in the afternoon.
I watched Saturday’s Resident Alien and it was a humdinger! Three of the characters fell down a crevasse in a glacier and one of them found out the truth about Harry. It was cool.
I watched the news at 4 pm and then around 5:45 went downstairs to start dinner. Tonight it was quite a nice dinner. We had baked herb chicken, microwaved Romanesco, baby leaf lettuce and K and F both had rice. I had couscous, but I didn’t stir the consommé powder I used through it enough and parts were salty. Bleck! F contributed the kimchi that he bought from a co-worker. The co-worker’s wife makes it. It is good, but it didn’t really suit my meal.
I got to do the dishes again. I had had to clean the kitchen before I started tonight too, so I wasn’t too happy about the whole thing. Not sure why F thinks he can get away with that. He’s the one who cooks on the weekend.
I came upstairs and had a cup of decaf coffee. That was a nice treat. After that, I went downstairs and took a shower. It was nice to be able to use our new bathmat. It was cozy under my feet.
I came upstairs, watched The Bold Type and then started blogging. F and I have been chatting on and off for a few minutes, but I really want to get to bed at an early time, so I’m going to end this here.
Tomorrow afternoon I have two classes and then I’m done for another week. I do have some other work related to classes that I have to start soon.
I also have to cook dinner. Tomorrow that’ll be pre-made hamburgers from the store and then a few other things from the fridge. Come back later and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
