Thursday - Cloudy and rainy in the daytime

I woke up this morning when F was getting ready to go to work. I said a sleepy goodbye to him and then I ran downstairs to use the washroom first! He went to work, I went back to bed but wasn’t able to get back to sleep. I reset my alarms and then finally did sleep a bit, but ended up oversleeping. Sigh.

When I got up I did some laundry and hung it up in the room. I spent most of the day quietly in my room. I also did some paperwork for my classes.

F called a bit after 5 to say he was coming back. I let him know that I would want to go out later tonight. He came back to the house and I went downstairs to do up my dishes and get a start on dinner. 

Tonight I did chicken steak with peppercorns, mixed vegetables, “natural fries” in my air fryer and salad. K and F had strawberries too, his sister brought them a couple of days ago. I didn’t have any as I’m a bit sensitive to them. Dinner was pretty good. I had cut up the chicken steaks so that we didn’t need a fork and knife and that worked rather well. There were even enough leftovers for both K and me to have for lunch. Yay!

After dinner, I got started on the dishes. It took a while, but I listened to my podcasts and it was fine. When I finished, I went upstairs. F of course wanted to leave right away. I asked him for a few minutes to sit down and rest my feet. 

I got ready and then went downstairs and was waiting by the door. He came downstairs and then realized that he didn’t have his car keys! I checked the car first but they weren’t there. Then I came back inside and went upstairs to check there. I didn’t have any luck, so F came up and found them. Too bad he didn’t find them in the first place!

I had originally wanted to go to the regular grocery store, but our little key search took too long. I asked F to take me to MaxValu. He didn’t go in tonight, he sat in the car and waited for me. I didn’t need too much, but I picked up a few things. When I checked out, the clerk was surprised that I was by myself. Usually, F comes in with me and pays. It was nice that she noticed that he wasn’t with me. 

I went back to the car and F drove us back to the house. I got out at the house and then F drove off somewhere! I’m not sure where he went, he didn’t tell me when he came back a few minutes later. 

I put away the groceries and then went upstairs. I watched The Rookie and then turned off the TV. I spent the rest of the night watching YouTube and relaxing. I did a tiny bit of crochet during the TV programme but spent more time untangling the yarn I’m working with. It took a while!

And that is it for my day. Tomorrow I have to do more laundry and then cook dinner again. Hopefully, everything will work out. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
