Thursday - Cloudy with some snow
I had rather a bad night. I went to bed quite late. Before bed, I had to switch on F’s alarm for him as he had forgotten to do it. He’d also left his computer on my side of the bed. I didn’t have a good place to put his computer, so I moved it into my room and put it near my computer. I got into bed and F was sleepy but wanted to cuddle. That was lovely until he started snoring in my ear! Not so nice. I didn’t sleep too well, unfortunately.
I ended up going downstairs around 5:30 and when I came back to bed I woke F up. Oh no! I’m not sure if he went back to sleep. I did. I didn’t hear him leave at all. I had a hard time dragging myself out of bed, but I finally did. I watched the end of the news and then had a nap for a couple of hours, broken up with my alarms. I overslept for good measure too but did get up eventually. I went downstairs and grabbed some breakfast then came upstairs to eat.
I had a quiet day. I watched some YouTube in the early part of the day. I grabbed my lunch later on and left a plate in the fridge for K. I came upstairs and finished watching the movie I started yesterday, Amulet. It was…odd. It was a horror movie and very dark and atmospheric. I’m also not sure if Japanese TV cut something out or not.
I watched the news at 4 and then a bit after 5 pm F called to say he was on the way back. I went downstairs a few minutes later to get started on dinner. I was quite busy tonight. I made an eggplant and mushroom stir-fry and heated up some burgers and shu-mei, mixed up a salad and even did some rice for F and K. Well, the food was very popular and most of it got eaten. K went to town on the shu-mei and ate half of them!
After dinner, I did the dishes and happily, I didn’t take two hours like yesterday! I was done by 9 pm, which is still a long time, but it was okay. I listened to some news podcasts and also the one about Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. I still have some of it to listen to.
I went upstairs and F and I got ready to go out. I needed a few groceries. I have asked that if F doesn’t have a late party tomorrow night, we go out for dinner. I’ve done a lot of cooking lately and need a break. He sort of grudgingly said it was okay.
We grabbed some stuff at the store, paid, and then drove over to the gas station to get some kerosene and gas for the car. Unfortunately, when F got out, to fill up the tanks, he couldn’t find his wallet. Yes, again. I am just beside myself wondering how he could lose his wallet again. I tried to get him to check all his pockets. He did, he also checked the shopping bag, but nothing was there.
He said that he must have left it in the grocery store, so he drove all the way over to the MaxValu. He drove a bit too fast in my opinion. He went into the store and I went over to the area where we parked before so that I could check the ground with my phone’s flashlight function. Nothing. However, F came back a few minutes later with his wallet. Thankfully, a customer had found it on a table and turned it in. F gave his name and birthdate and it matched (obviously) so he was really lucky.
We zoomed back over to the gas station and filled up finally. Well, F didn’t have enough money on his card to fill up the car, but he did get it to halfway! We came back to the house. F brought in the kerosene and I brought in the groceries and put them away.
We came upstairs but almost immediately I came downstairs and took my shower. I missed it last night, I couldn’t miss it again!
I came back upstairs and didn’t watch my show. It was nearly over and I’d rather try and watch it tomorrow. F and I chatted a bit, he gave me some of his snacks and then I put on my headphones to listen to some of my favourite YouTubers.
I’m actually quite tired so I’ll try and get to bed soon.
