Friday - Clear but a bit cool
I went to bed far too late last night but did wake up when my alarm went off. I got up, went downstairs and then watched the morning news. I took a bit of a nap afterwards.
When I got up, I did a load of laundry. Of course, I had to take F’s laundry out first. I had a feeling when I saw him take clothes downstairs last night. In an extra bonus move for me, I even hung it up for him in our room.
I had a quiet day really. Breakfast was good and then I watched The Rookie from last night. After lunch, I worked on my classes for next week. Yay me. I planned a couple of lessons and finished up my paperwork.
I watched the news and did a couple of things on my computer. F called around 5:30 but said that he was going to visit his doctor again. His knee was really bad again. I reminded him that I wasn’t cooking tonight, we were planning to go out.
F came back to the house a bit later and we got ready to go out. He had brought a gorgeous bento back from work. It looked lovely. He had some instant noodles so he could have some medicine and then we all went out.
It was quite the thing getting K to wear a new mask though. She likes to reuse them. Before Covid, I can understand it a little, especially if she was using it for pollen, but now it just isn’t safe. Yesterday, I found a mask on the stairs so I put it in the garbage in the bathroom. Later, I found the wet version of the mask hanging up in the kitchen. I binned it again. She’d found the mask in the empty garbage can, washed it, and hung it up. Some things aren’t worth saving money on, IMHO.
We went to Tai, a restaurant that serves ramen and curry. I had a chicken cheese curry that was okay, F surprised me by having tonkatsu curry and not ramen, and K had a mini-ramen. We had some coupons from the last time we went, so our meal ended up costing less than 2000 yen. We came back to the house afterwards. It was a little sad for me, but F had worked a full day so I couldn’t really complain.
The first thing he did when we got back was to eat his bento. I actually asked him if he was still hungry. He ate it all as far as I know. I asked him if he’d like to watch a movie with me, but he said no. I told him I would anyway.
I ended up watching A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood with Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys. I was surprised how much I liked it. I also finished my latest dishcloth and even darned in the ends as well. When the movie was over, I turned off the TV and got stuck into my computer stuff.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. If F is up to it, I’m hoping to be able to see a movie but who knows?
Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
