Saturday - Sunny and warm

I woke up this morning and got up right away. Weird though. Of course, I needed a little bit of time before we went out to go to the doctor. F was out at his other doctor's, he came back around 10. I think he made breakfast/brunch for his mother and then came upstairs to see me!

We went to the doctor and it was fine. No problems. We made appointments for next month too.

It was time to have lunch when we were done. We talked about a few ideas, but F liked my suggestion of Arpeggio.  We drove there, parked and went in. We were lucky to get the last available table, and it was near the door, so we got fresh air when people came in and left. Bonus. I had the bacon donburi and F had the gindara set meal. We both enjoyed it. Before we left I suggested to F that we buy some cookies from the display of lovely baked treats by the till. We were having the Insurance Lady over later and I thought it would be nice to offer her something really nice…and help support our local restaurants. F said no. 

We went over to S-Mall and we did a little looking around.  The Eikaiwa in the mall had an event today and the owner of the chain was there. I knew him a little bit from some of the ETJ events I attended in Sendai, so we waved and shouted a few greetings to each other. 

I bought a few things from the hundred yen shop and then I bought F a drink at Doutor. We spent about 45 minutes there and then went to the grocery store. We looked around the store looking for cookies or something nice for the visitor. F finally admitted that he wished that we had bought cookies at the restaurant after all!  The cookies and muffins looked so nice!

We left the mall and came back to the house. We had a couple of minutes to set up and a few minutes later, she arrived. F and the woman got down to business and I served them some of my tropical iced tea and some of the cookies that we did buy. They were basic generic cookies. No big deal.

When the Insurance Lady left, F asked his mother if she needed more food and she did. We went out to the store to get her a bento and F some adult treats! We came back to the house, I gave K her bento and then F and I left again. 

We went to karaoke! I was very surprised that it was F’s suggestion. We went to the karaoke box near the station and were able to get in right away. We sang for a few hours and had some of the drink bar. F had a lot of ice cream too. I had a bit, but not to the same extent! We ate at the karaoke box too. The food wasn’t great, but it was okay and rather fun too. 

We came back to the house around 11:00 pm and we relaxed. I watched my FBI show and then I ended up watching the first Suicide Squad. It seemed not as bad on TV as it did in the cinema, but it still wasn’t great. 

That’s about it for me. It’s very late, probably getting light now, and I need some sleep. Come back later if you like and hear all about my Sunday. Until tomorrow….
