 Thursday - Rainy and cooler. Yay!

I wish I could say that I woke up on my own this morning, but I didn’t. F woke me up. He didn’t mean to but did. It was dark in the room so when he came back he had to turn on the light. It wasn’t just the light though, it was the noise he made. Sigh. He didn’t mean it, but…

I stayed up until he left and then I turned on the TV and watched the news. I watched more news, got dressed and went downstairs and grabbed my breakfast. 

I had a quiet morning. I ended up opening the window in the room. It was cooler today, with a lot of rain, but it was lovely. I didn’t need to turn on the AC at all. After I ate breakfast, I got really sleepy so I took a nap for a while. I woke up early and I haven’t been sleeping that well lately due to the heat. It was heavenly being cool for a change.

I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. I didn’t offer K anything today. I thought she’d eaten already, but later on, I realized that she hadn’t. Sigh. l don’t know if she is able to feed herself these days or not. 

F called me around 5:30 and said he was in Sagae. Sagae is near Yamagata, about 2 hours away. I went downstairs around 6:00 and washed my dishes and got a few things ready for dinner. F called me around 6:30 and said he was on the way back. I was really surprised that he was already in Mikawa. 

I got things ready to go for dinner and put a few things on the table, but F didn’t come back to the house until after 7 pm. I started cooking right away and I think I had dinner on the table by 7:30.  I did what is normally a fish stir-fry, but I did it in my air-fryer. It worked fairly well. I’m not sure if I’ll do it again. F didn’t want rice for a change, so dinner was just salad, fish and veggies, plus mushrooms and some leftover tofu from last night. That was it. 

I did the dishes and I was quite fast tonight. There wasn’t that much to do. Oh, F admitted later that he’d made a mistake. He’d told me he was in Sagae, but he was actually in Kushibiki. Kushibiki is just outside Tsuruoka proper. It wasn’t far away at all. 

I went upstairs when I finished working. I didn’t say goodnight, I just went upstairs. I came down again soon to grab some water for my water pot but went back up. When F came up I asked about showers. He wanted to take a shower so I let him do it first. Mistake. He took forever. When he was done, I went downstairs and took a shower. K was up and bopping around. Her lights were on and I think she was trying to figure out what was going on. I went into the kitchen after my shower to turn down the water heater and she came in to see what was going on! I said goodnight to her.

I came upstairs and came over to my computer. And that is basically where I have been all night. 

I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I’ll probably do laundry in the morning and I have to cook dinner at night. I hope everyone is looking forward to pasta tomorrow!
