 Wednesday - Lovely and warm in the morning, hot and a bit rainy later on

I didn’t hear F this morning, at least I don’t think I did. I woke up before my alarm, which was a bit of a surprise. I got up, went downstairs and then came back up and watched the news. I watched the other news too, from earlier in the morning. 

I had just shut my eyes for a little bit of a nap when my phone rang. F was calling to say that he was going to Yamagata for work today and did I want anything. I told him I didn’t. I didn’t want to bother him when he was at work. 

Instead of going back to sleep, I decided to just get up. Good call. I did some stuff, started laundry, and then ate my breakfast. I relaxed for a while and also watched a little of something on the Fire Stick. 

I had a quiet morning into the afternoon. I went down to get lunch a little early and since I saw K thought I should ask if she’d like some of my soup. She said yes, so I heated some up for her. I brought it out for her when it was hot and then took my lunch upstairs.

I had a quiet afternoon.  It was quite a bit cooler today, I didn’t have to turn on the AC until lunchtime so that was good.  I watched the news from the bedroom part of the room as it was cooler than my part of the room. 

I didn’t go downstairs until 6 pm. I washed my dishes and then since F was in charge of bentos, I didn’t cook dinner. I cooked one dish, a spicy tofu dish in my air fryer. F brought back the bentos. On the phone, he had talked about getting fried chicken bentos and I was glad, but then he texted me and said he’d gone to a cheaper place and got us all the same…a nori-something bento. I wasn’t too pleased. He brought them and I was not happy to see them, but I didn’t say anything. I decided I’d try to eat it. The bento had a piece of fried chicken, a deep-fried fish and a deep-fried croquette. It wasn’t bad, to be honest, but it wasn’t one I’d ever pick for myself. I know I should just shut up about it, but how long has my husband known me? Couldn’t he get something that he knows I like?? Guess not. The tofu was good when I took it out of the fryer.

We ate and then I got to clean up of course. It was early for a change so we were able to go out to the grocery store before 9pm. That was a nice touch. F stayed in the car and I went round by myself. I enjoyed that. Unfortunately, the grocery store seemed like it was almost out of everything I wanted. I’m not sure what is up with that!

We came back to the house, put the groceries away and then came upstairs. I was supposed to shower, but decided to wait until tomorrow. Yay me.

I watched some of The Mentalist and then tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Tonight was the one with the boa constrictor. That made it rather interesting!

And that’s about it for my day. I did some more crochet and today I even took a picture of my scarf which I’ll try and add in for your viewing pleasure!
