Friday - Cloudy and then sunny, humid and warm

I woke up quite early this morning, made a trip downstairs and then went back to sleep. When I woke up, F had gone to work of course. 

I had a very quiet day today. I did rouse myself to do a bit of laundry but had an unpleasant surprise when I got there. F had done a load of washing and hadn’t taken it out. I decided to be nice to him and take it upstairs and hang it up to dry.  

I took up my breakfast too. I hung up his laundry, but on my side of the room as I couldn’t reach his laundry area. I ate breakfast and checked out the TV schedule. There wasn’t anything on so I looked at my Fire Stick. I got a nasty shock there. My show, The Mentalist, is being taken off in 5 days. I was in the second last season of the show, but I have quite a few episodes to watch. I binge-watched today and got through 5 episodes I think. I enjoyed it, and now I’m on the last season so I have either 12 or 13 episodes to go I think. I’m not sure if I can do it, but I hope so. I had hoped to rewatch Cold Case, but it’s leaving too. Boo!

I had a quiet afternoon, I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. I barely saw or heard K today, she spent most of the day in bed I think. I ate lunch and watched The Mentalist of course. Even tonight, I watched two episodes and enjoyed them.

I even managed to take an updated photo of my scarf, even though I didn't work on it today. 

An update on my new scarf.  

After F called, I went downstairs and got a start on dinner. Tonight was a little bit different. I did gnocchi with a carbonara sauce, pizza, sliced chicken breast and salad. It turned out well. I did have a few disasters along the way…my second batch of gnocchi boiled over and flooded the stove, but everything worked out. Dinner was actually pretty good, and it was a little early tonight too. Woot!

I did the dishes and was done just after 8:30. I had listened to some podcasts and enjoyed them too.  I came upstairs, watched some more of The Mentalist and then took a shower. That was nice. I felt like I really needed it!

Well, that’s about it for today. We might be going to Costco in Yamagata tomorrow, I’m not sure. I’d like to pick up a few things that I can’t get in Tsuruoka. We’ll have to see. It might not happen, it depends on the weather and how F is tomorrow.
