Monday - Warm and Sunny
I woke up this morning with my alarm, but also the banging going on in the building sites near F’s house. It is kind of driving me crazy!
I went downstairs and then watched the rest of the news on TV. I ended up taking a bit of a snooze for a while. I grabbed my breakfast and then watched an episode of The Mentalist. I think I ended up snoozing a bit through the end of it as I was watching from the bed!
I watched quite a lot of The Mentalist today. Tomorrow is the last day, so I really want to be able to see the whole series before it leaves. I watched some before lunch and I watched some during and after lunch. I didn’t make lunch for K, but she had taken a bit of the lunch I had left for her in the fridge from the weekend.
For some reason, when F called tonight I missed his call. I called him back and then went downstairs to get a start on dinner. Tonight I did mustard chicken in the toaster oven and stir-fried some eggplants with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. I added on a basil onion cake which was good. F, when he came down, enjoyed dinner. I was surprised he said anything. I called him from the stairs first but there was no answer. I had to call him by phone to get him to come down. He’d fallen asleep! He brought his TikTok Girlfriend with him to dinner. I debated asking him if he wanted me to set her a place at the table, but I didn’t.
We also had dessert tonight, I washed some of the blueberries from Costco and we had them with vanilla ice cream. That was a nice treat.
I did the dishes and it took a long time. I was tired at the end. I finished up and went upstairs. I watched another episode of The Mentalist! F appeared and then left after a couple of minutes. I heard him in the shower so I watched, yes, you guessed it, another episode of The Mentalist. That means I have only 4 episodes left to watch. I hope I can do it!
When F came back up, he’d taken a shower. We chatted for a bit and then I went downstairs to take my shower. I had forgotten to take down my bottles to bring water upstairs. Sigh. I did up the garbage and put it in the genkan for F in the morning.
I took my shower and then came back upstairs. I brought F’s laundry with me. He’d forgotten to empty his pockets before he put his stuff in the machine. He had a tissue in one of his pockets. He also washed one of his earphones. Not sure if it will still work or not.
That’s about it for my day. I didn’t need the air conditioner on for most of the day, but I did turn it on in the late afternoon for a bit.
Tomorrow, I don’t have much planned except I have to watch more of The Mentalist. I’ve enjoyed watching the show and I’ll be sad when it is over.
