Tuesday-Sunny, rainy at night

I woke up with my alarm this morning and got up and went downstairs. I briefly saw K on my way back upstairs, but I came back up to watch the news and of course, snooze. I watched the news and also the early news too. I overslept a little, but went downstairs to grab my breakfast.

I came back upstairs, ate, and watched a bunch of YouTube videos before I watched something from the DVR.  During the day, I worked on another ornament to see if I could get it to work out so.

I went downstairs to grab my lunch. I was happy to see that K had her lunch already. I went back upstairs and at 3 pm watched the first episode of Killing Eve. I figured out pretty fast that this was an episode I had already seen. WOWOW was doing the thing where they replay the last season before they show the new season. I watched the first episode completely again and then when it was over, watched the news too.

F called around 5:30 so I went downstairs and started on dinner after a little while. Tonight it was simple really, just a pork stir-fry and salad with rice for all of us. I had bought pre-cut veggies, but I added a few extra ones in and also cut the pork into bite sized pieces. F came back in the middle of my prep. I asked him when he’d like dinner and he didn’t mind. I told him it wouldn’t take long.

I cooked just around 7 pm and had dinner on the table soon after. I called him down, but he took so long that K and I just started eating without him. Hey, if you aren’t going to come, you can’t expect us to wait for you, can you?

Dinner got nice reviews and clean up afterwards wasn’t too bad. I got it done fairly fast as I was planning to go out after we were finished.

I went upstairs and changed, then F and I got ready and went out. We went to MaxValu and got stuff for tomorrow’s dinner. I also bought oils. I got canola, sesame, olive and extra olive oil. I was really glad that I didn’t break any of the bottles! We came back to the house and relaxed for a while. I watched FBI: International and it was quite good again.

Just a bit before he went to bed, F told me that he got an email from Ikea saying that the Christmas tree I wanted was back in stock. Yay!  We looked at the website and F put it in his cart and then…I noticed the shipping fee. It was more than the price of the tree. Yikes. I told F that I could take a bus to Sendai, pick the tree up myself and bring it back on the bus for less than the shipping. We didn’t buy it. Sigh. I guess we’ll check out the other website and maybe have a look at Costco if we go there soon. There are some other stores around that might have something similar. We haven’t checked out any yet this year.

And that was my day. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit, but as always, going to the grocery store does not fill me with excitement. I don’t know why F would think that it does. When I say I’d like to go out, the grocery store is the last place I want to go. I need to go, so I go, but I’d like to go other places too!

Come back later if you will and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
