Wednesday - Sunny but cooler
I went to bed a bit late last night and decided that I’d let myself sleep in a little later. It was nice as when I woke up, I felt rested for a change. I went downstairs and then came back upstairs and got dressed. And then I had a nap and didn’t wake up for a long time.
I got up when my alarm went off and then I went downstairs and grabbed breakfast. I came back upstairs to eat. I had a quiet rest of the morning and early afternoon too. I started a new ornament even though I was thinking about working on my column. I never did! I did post to my Stella Facebook page though. So that was good.
I had lunch around 2 and watched another episode of Killing Eve. Someone got killed in today’s episode and it was very sad. I’m going to miss this show when it is over.
I also watched an episode of Bake-Off today. It relaxes me. I can’t bake here, so I do it vicariously through the show!
F called me a bit after 5:15 and said he was on the way back. I went downstairs fairly soon afterwards and started dinner. Tonight I did a roasted veggie medley. We had potatoes, sweet potatoes and onion roast, plus store-bought hamburgers and salad. I also made some guacamole because our avocados were so ripe they were going to go off soon.
Dinner was good. I think everyone ate and enjoyed it, but F didn’t have that much. He’s trying to lose weight. Power to him. I just hope he isn’t eating ramen afterwards.
When I finished doing the dishes, I did up the garbage in the kitchen and put it in the genkan. Then, I went upstairs and put my garbage together in the room too. I left the bag for F. I put on my pyjamas early because I’d managed to pour the dishwater all over myself. I wanted to be dry for a bit!
F took a shower and then I did. I didn’t get to watch any TV tonight which is a little sad, but not unexpected.
F and I spent a few minutes chatting tonight and it was nice. We weren’t talking about much, but these days it never seems to happen. He also did ask about my arm today, which was a nice change!
That’s it for me tonight. Tomorrow I hope to do a little bit of laundry and maybe, just maybe, work on the second bit of my column. There’s also one more episode of Killing Eve to watch.
