 Tuesday - Sunny but a little cool

I woke up this morning, got up, went downstairs and then came back to watch the news on TV. I did that. When the news was over I snoozed and watched a show about David Lee Roth of Van Halen. It was rather interesting. 

I had breakfast a bit later and then did some craftwork. I worked on yet another ornament which I finished later on. 

I also worked on my column. I’ve got about half of it done because it is rather short this time. I’m doing two topics and the first one is already written. 

I had a quiet but reasonably busy afternoon. I did a bit of sweeping outside our bedroom. I didn’t go down the steps though as K was up and around and I didn’t want her to see me! I worked on the ornament and while I ate lunch I watched last week’s The Walking Dead. It was another good episode. I really enjoy this show!

I watched the news at 4 pm and a bit after 5 pm I went downstairs and washed my dishes. F called me and said he was coming back to the house.  I went upstairs and started to get ready. I had one outfit ready to wear and then I changed my mind because the shirt was uncomfortable and I thought we might go out afterwards. 

I changed and F showed up a little later. He changed his clothes. He hadn’t even finished and he was calling for the taxi to come. Luckily I was ready to go but I do find it annoying that he does that.

The taxi came and we went off to the restaurant. We had a lovely meal although it was a little heavy on fish and shellfish for me. F had a couple of beers with his meal, and I had an umeshu that was fine.  I took a lot of pictures of the food which looked beautiful.  

This was the only course I really didn't like. The fish was tasteless, had too many bones and scales and I'm not into egg sacs. Bleck. I gave half of it to F.

This was Yamagata Filet that we grilled ourselves. It was lovely.

This was our "anniversary" dessert...it wasn't our anniversary!

The unfortunate thing is that F’s stomach wasn’t doing well so he had to leave the table a couple of times. The one thing I didn’t like was getting the bum’s rush from the staff. They were asking us if we wanted a taxi before we even started eating our dessert. Honestly, it felt rude. And there was one weird thing, they kept wishing us a happy anniversary, but we were there for F’s birthday meal! Last year, we did go there for our 20th anniversary, but that was in September!

We came back by taxi to the house. F wasn’t feeling very well which was sad. At one point he made a crack that his English wasn’t doing very well these days and I agreed with him. I told him it was because he doesn’t talk to me anymore. He blamed it on my late nights. I blame it on too much time on TikTok.

I left him alone for most of the night. I watched some YouTube and a show on WOWOW. I’ve had a lot of problems with our bandwidth tonight, I’m sure F is hogging it all. He usually does.

So, tomorrow is a national holiday and F is off work. We’ve made no plans on how to spend the day. I just hope we get out of Dodge for a while.
