Friday - Cold and windy and snowy
I woke up this morning after my alarm went off. I went downstairs and then came back up. I got dressed and watched the news from the warmth of my bed! I sent F a text to let him know that he left his notebook behind on the bed. It is black and our sheet is navy, so it is hard to see when the room is dark.
He knew that he had left it behind but was happy to hear from me. I napped a bit and then a few minutes later he texted me to say he was going to stop by to pick up his notebook. He showed up a few minutes later and he brought some nice bread things from the conbini.
He only stayed a couple of minutes, but it was nice to see him. After a few minutes he left.
I did laundry today, three loads, so I was a bit busy in the afternoon. I have laundry hung all around the bedroom!
I grabbed lunch and watched an episode of Bake-Off. It was nice to see it again. During the end of the news I folded some of my laundry and put it away. I changed my clothes and went outside and shovelled a little bit of snow. There wasn’t as much as I thought there would be, yay!
I came back in, went upstairs and changed again. I went downstairs to the kitchen to wash my dishes and get started on dinner. F had thought he’d be late tonight, but he wasn’t really. I suppose he got back a few minutes after 6, but honestly, not too late at all.
Tonight was a simple dinner. I just did pasta with a bought sauce, we had some salad and some smoked tongue with it. Dinner was quite good. There was a little pasta left, and some of the tongue. I think I’ll finish that on Monday for lunch.
I did the dishes and was done around 8:40. I went upstairs and a few minutes later F came up and said that Gremlins was on regular TV. He wanted to watch it and it has been years since I’ve seen it. During a commercial break, I checked the Fire Stick to see if it was available and it was. I put it on and I watched it. F said that he watched it, but several times when I looked at him, he was deep into his phone. He didn’t really watch it. I’m afraid that I didn’t enjoy the movie very much. I hadn’t realized for ages that it was rather a horror film more than a comedy. Still, as I haven’t watched any movies at all this month at the house, I’m glad I have at least one now.
I took a shower around 11:30 pm and a bit later F took one too. It was so cold downstairs in the bathroom. Brr.
Well, that’s about it for me for my day. It was an okay one. Tomorrow we might go and see the new Avatar movie, although I just listened to a review where the person hated it and thought it was really boring. I think I’d like to make up my own mind though! I also have a few chores to run this weekend so come back later and see how much I get done. Until tomorrow….
