Thursday - Snowy, cold, windy and cold!
I woke up this morning when F turned on the light in the room. Sadly for me, my eye mask had slipped and the light went straight in my eyes. Ack. I pulled the covers up and went back to sleep. When my own alarm went off this morning I kept turning it off for a few minutes. I got up, went downstairs and then came back upstairs and got dressed. I watched the rest of the news and then took a bit of a nap. I was quite out of it for a while.
I got up, grabbed breakfast and watched a bit of TV. I watched a bit of YouTube. I think I watched something off the Fire Stick but I can’t remember.
I checked on the snow outside a couple of times. There wasn’t very much, but I thought I should go out before F got home to clear the snow away.
I grabbed lunch a few minutes early today and came upstairs to eat. I finished the first season of The Great British Sewing Bee. I rather enjoyed it. Then, I watched The Red Green Show again. The first season isn’t so great. It does have moments of pure hilarity however. The news was up next.
At 5 pm I got dressed for snow and went outside and shovelled a bit of snow. It was dark outside, so that was fun. I tried to lift up one of the pieces of slate that is on the ground, but I couldn’t quite see it. It was frustrating.
After I came inside, and changed again to go downstairs to cook dinner, F called. He was on his way back. Tonight I did chicken drumsticks in my air fryer. I found a new recipe online and used that. It was simple and delicious. Yay for that. We also had salad, mixed vegetables and F & K had rice. I made a mini omelette too and we shared that.
Dinner got pretty good reviews so that was nice. I did the dishes when we finished. I started early, so I was finished by 8:30 which made me quite happy. I went upstairs and asked F if he was ready to go out soon. He said he was.
We drove over to Mina and I went into the store. I had to buy beer for F tonight. I wasn’t happy about that, but at least he paid for it all! I got something for dinner tomorrow night and lunch as well as breakfasts for F and his mother.
We came back to the house and put away the food. I watched The Great British Sewing Bee on NHK, it was fun. It was a different season from the one I watched off the Fire Stick. After that, I went downstairs to make microwave popcorn. However, I remember I had a very old popcorn to make on the stove. It was similar to the old Jiffy Pop I had when I was a kid! Unfortunately, it was caramel and it burned a little, but the unburnt stuff was okay. I brought it upstairs and ate it. I watched a couple of things off Apple TV. Tonight it was Mythic Quest and then Acapulco. I enjoyed both episodes. It was just after midnight when I finished watching them, so I turned off the TV so F could sleep.
I’ve been working on my blog and watching a bit of YouTube and now that I’m virtually done, I’m going to head to bed in a few minutes.
