Saturday - Warmish and rainy
I really need to get to bed fairly soon, so I will try and do this quickly tonight!
F and I got up fairly early this morning and went to see our doctor. It generally went quite well except, when the nurse tried to pull up my shirt so the doctor could listen to my chest, I got a bit shirty and told her not to touch me! F wasn’t too happy with me, I saw his face, but he didn’t say anything. Honestly, if I need help, I’ll ask for it. I do not appreciate people coming up behind me and trying to take off my clothes!
After we picked up our medicine and paid, we decided to go for lunch. Originally I had suggested going to Amarume and having yakiniku, but then I asked F if he had any ideas and he suggested going for soba. We went to a really good and also expensive soba shop. It was delicious.
We came back to the house to check on K. She seemed to be fine and she had eaten some things, so F and I went upstairs. We stayed there for a long time. After an hour in front of my computer, I basically went to bed for a while. I slept for at least a couple of hours I think.
We got up a while later. F made his mother something to eat, or more correctly, heated up the food that I had left for her in the fridge. He’d made himself a massage appointment, so we had to head out and have dinner first.
We went to Tai first, the curry and ramen place, but they were closed when we got there. They must have closed early as we were there in their posted hours.
We went to Coco’s and had a pretty good meal. F had deep fried oysters and I had the chicken jambalaya. We also ordered a plate of calamari to start that was fairly decent!
We came back to the house and then F went off to his massage. I went upstairs and started watching an episode of Yellowjackets and then I got a call from F. No one was at the Massage place! He’d booked his appointment on line this afternoon, but it seemed like everyone had left before he arrived. He wasn’t too pleased.
He came back to the house, even though he was supposed to go and pick up kerosene first. He says he’ll do it tomorrow before we leave.
So, yes, about that. We’ve decided since the weather isn’t to bad and it isn’t too cold to leave K at the house alone, we’ll try and make a Costco run tomorrow. I’d like to hit up a Kaldi too and get some of my favourite rooibos tea.
F wants to leave early so I’ll end this now and hopefully I’ll give you an update on tomorrow, tomorrow night.
Come back later if you like and hear all about my Sunday. Until tomorrow….
