Thursday - Some rain, some sun
I woke up early this morning. F was still in bed, I got up around 6:30 and went downstairs. I came back upstairs, apologized to F for waking him up, and then went back to sleep. I woke up again when my alarm went off. I snoozed for a bit and then got up a bit late. I got dressed and snoozed even longer!
I got up finally, went downstairs and grabbed breakfast. I came back upstairs and ate. I watched a bit of YouTube too.
It was a fairly quiet afternoon today, except of course for the building going on in the area. That was annoying.
I had lunch and watched an episode of Bake-Off. That was fun. After it was over and before the news came on, I listened to some Canadian music on Amazon. Unfortunately, they kept playing Celine Dion. Yuck! They finally played The Barenaked Ladies, so that was a happy thing!
I went down to start dinner around 6 pm and F came back a few minutes later. He said he was tired so he went upstairs. I kept working on dinner. tonight I made chicken wings in my air fryer, and I also stir-fried some eggplant and onions. I heated up some rice for K and F and I set the table. I called F and…he couldn’t come downstairs. He said he couldn’t eat. Sigh. That meant I was alone with K for dinner.
We had an okay meal. We ate a lot of the food but left enough so we both can have some for our lunches tomorrow. Woot.
I did the dishes and then went upstairs and got ready to go out. F was in bed with the quilt pulled up almost to his ears! I went over to talk to him but when I saw he was watching TikTok I just walked away from him. I went downstairs to wait for him but I had to wait a bit too long. I finally texted him to see if he was coming. He did eventually.
We were too late to go to the place I wanted to go, so we went to MaxValu, the big grocery store. I went in and did a bunch of grocery shopping. I told F before I went in that if he wanted something to text me. I got something for tomorrow’s dinner, something for F and K’s breakfast and also some sesame oil. Yay me.
When I got back to the car, F remembered that he needed beer so we stopped at a convenience store to get some. We also bought ice cream, so that was nice!
We came back to the house. I put the groceries away and then went upstairs. I did a bit of crochet and watched an episode of New Amsterdam. I turned off the TV when it was over.
It’s been a quiet day. I should try and do a bit more laundry tomorrow, but I’m not sure if I will. I am still tired from last week. It’s a bit weird, I don’t usually get this tired, but it has been a while since I walked as much and did so much in such a short time.
Oh, here’s a quick look at my blanket. It’s about 30 inches long now. I’m quite happy with it!
