Friday - Cloudy and a bit cooler
It’s Friday. Woot. I woke up this morning when my alarm went off and got up. I watched the news and got dressed. I went back to bed for a bit of a snooze when the news finished. It was terribly noisy this morning because of the building happening on this block. I was snoozing away and F came into the room. Oops. He was looking for something, but I don’t think he found it. We said hello and he grabbed a drink from the fridge and left.
I got up then and even though I should have done laundry, I didn’t. I went downstairs and picked up my breakfast, then came back upstairs. I watched YouTube for a while and just generally had a quiet day in.
In the afternoon, I got my lunch and watched one of the season finales of The Great British Sewing Bee. It was lovely. At one point they were challenged to make a Japanese-style shirt, but there were no diagrams, just one big pattern piece. One of the contestants couldn’t understand which part of the pattern was which and both of the other contestants helped her. It was so nice of them, and just gave me the warm fuzzies watching that!
I watched the news and such and then went down to the kitchen around 6 pm. F hadn’t called yet, but he did call a few minutes later to say he was on his way.
Tonight’s dinner was a simple one. I just did pasta with a packet sauce and some chicken breast that I had bought at the store yesterday. We had that with a salad too. When F came back he wasn’t sure if he could eat he said, but he did say he’d come downstairs for dinner.
We ate a little after 7. F hadn’t arrived until twenty to seven or so, so it wasn’t such a big deal I think. Dinner got pretty good reviews and it didn’t take too long to clean up afterwards, I’m happy to say. I’ve been working on finishing up faster.
When I came upstairs I relaxed with a bit of YouTube and then took a shower. I watched a little Apple TV when I finished. I’ve been watching Shrinking, the new show with Jason Siegel and Harrison Ford. It is quite good and I like not knowing where it is going.
When the show finished, I turned off the TV and went back to my computer for some more YouTube and a bit of blogging. And that’s where I am now.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I know that F has booked the car in for a check in the afternoon and also there are TWO new movies at the mall in English. I’m planning to see Everything Everywhere All at Once tomorrow if there is nothing stopping us! I’ve waited for a whole year, enough is enough!
