Saturday - Sunny and warm, gorgeous day
Despite my worries, I had a fabulous time with my friends. We met up in the afternoon and just took things easy, which I think was great really. Our hotel was fabulous and I’m planning how to get F to go there with me. We had dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant and had their set meal, plus a pizza so that was good. We spent a bit of time in my room just gabbing in the evening…it was nice.
I woke up early for me this morning. I had gone to bed a little earlier than I usually do as I was having to get up early this morning. I went out of my room to meet my friends at breakfast at 8 am. The hotel’s breakfast featured many of the local veggies and dishes and was really nice. I didn’t know many of them as I’m not a Shonai born person. We all enjoyed the food though.
I went back to my room when I finished eating and finished packing up my suitcase. There wasn’t a lot of things left to go in the bag. F, was waiting outside the hotel for us and we drove one of my friends to the local airport. The other friend left on her way back north.
We waited at the airport for a while with my friend. She went through security and then we went into the restaurant. We watched her plane take off from the window of the restaurant. Both F and I had tonkatsu. It was very good.
We came back into Tsuruoka and made a stop at a nice butcher’s shop and picked up a bento for K. F also bought some meatballs too. We came back to the house and after giving K her bento, F went to sleep. I had a reunion with my computer, but after a while I took a nap too!
I woke up around 6:30 and reminded F that we should probably had dinner soon. He suggested Gusto and that was fine with me.
While we were talking about where to go, we had an earthquake! It was a little one, but the house did move quite a bit! It was off the coast of Niigata Prefecture.
We drove over to Gusto and had an okay meal. We shared some fries and they were really nice today. I enjoyed them. F had ordered take out for K and we brought that back to the house with us. We came upstairs and relaxed for the rest of the evening.
I watched Mythic Quest on Apple TV on my computer, and then later on watched FBI on TV. I crocheted during the show and got a couple more rows done. When my show finished, I put the blanket over F so I could judge how much longer I should make it. I still need a few rows more to make it long enough for him. Even though it is very heavy, he said he liked the way it felt. Yay.
That has basically been my day. It was very nice. It is nice to be back with F, but I really did have a good time with my friends. I tried to get F to think about Golden Week and what we should do, if anything, but as usual he didn’t have any ideas. I think I will try and come up with an idea or two and see what he thinks!
