 Thursday - Sunny and warm

My alarm woke me up this morning so I got up, went downstairs and then came back to watch the news. When the BBC News was over, I channel surfed and found The Blind Side on. I watched for about half an hour and then decided to record the rest. Because our DVR still doesn’t work properly, I had to leave the TV on so it would record.

I went back to sleep and woke up a bit later. I went downstairs and grabbed breakfast. I also found that I’d had a parcel delivered during the day and I missed it. Sigh. 

I had a relatively quiet afternoon. I finished watching the movie and then checked out my YouTube faves. I went downstairs to grab lunch and then watched the US news. When I finished that, I ended up writing a lot of texts. For some reason, a group of people have decided to come and visit Tsuruoka during Golden Week. I’m quite happy about it, but usually, I prefer to have a lot more notice about people coming so I can plan things. Still, I don’t think it matters that much!

F called me around 5:30 and I went downstairs and started to get ready to make dinner. Tonight I made pasta which I served with salad and sliced chicken that I bought in the store. I also made guacamole which I completely forgot to serve until after dinner!

Dinner got made fairly easily and then I put it out on the table. F didn’t take too long to come downstairs and we all ate. I liked it a lot, but the others didn’t want seconds. Sigh. 

While I was putting things away, I noticed that I hadn’t set out my guacamole so I asked F if he’d like some and he said he would. I gave F and K a little, had a little in the kitchen too and then got stuck on the dishes. 

I was done fairly early tonight and went upstairs so that I could change and get ready to go out. We went to the grocery store nearby and I got things for F and K’s breakfast and some drinks.

We came back to the house and relaxed. I watched New Amsterdam and it was quite interesting. It’s the first of a two-parter. 

And that’s about it for my day. It was an okay day. Tomorrow, F is away at a party so we’re having food delivered for K and me. I’m also having my parcel redelivered tomorrow night.
