Friday - Snowy and cold
I woke up early this morning, sad to say. I woke up before F’s alarm and made a trip downstairs. I came back up and went back to bed, even though F was up and getting ready for work. Sorry…didn’t feel like trying to stay up.
I got up a lot later, dressed, grabbed breakfast and ate it too. I had a fairly quiet day. I didn’t see F during the day, and I didn’t see K either. It’s funny how little we see each other during the day.
I had lunch and watched an episode of Fringe today. I saw a note today that says that Fringe will only be around for a few months which is really sad for me. I’m going to try and watch most of it if I can.
I watched the US news at 4 pm and then did computer stuff for a while. F called after 5:15 and asked if I wanted anything. I suggested getting something small to go with dinner and some aluminum foil. I keep forgetting to buy it! F phoned me back about 10 minutes later and then asked me to remind him what I wanted!
I went downstairs a little before 6 and got started on dinner. Tonight I was planning to make pizzas for us. I got out the ingredients and I did a search to see if I could caramelize onions in my air fryer. Yes, yes I can. Well, sort of. I used a mandolin to slice the onions finely and then I air-fried them with some olive oil and salt and pepper. They turned out okay, but I think I sliced them too thinly.
After F came back, I got started on the pizzas. I bought a couple of bases the last time I went shopping. I put some white sauce on the bases, added on some caramelized onions, then put on some mushrooms, ham or salami, and cheese. They both turned out really well. I got the table set and got F to come down. We had two smallish pizzas with salad, beets, and the pasta salad that F bought at the store. K seemed to enjoy the food and I definitely did! We ate all the pizza and just about everything else was finished too. Woot.
I did the dishes and listened to my podcasts while I did. I love movie podcasts and recently I’ve been listening to British movie podcasts. Yay.
I came upstairs around 9 pm and watched a bit of YouTube for a while. F came up and went right to bed. He’s so tired, the poor guy. He didn’t fall asleep for a while.
I took a shower and then came back upstairs. I watched a show on my computer and then went back to YouTube while I started blogging.
And, now you are caught up with me.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I’m hoping to see Poor Things again in the afternoon as F wants to see it and I think it’ll be our only chance this weekend.
Anyway, need to remind you that there won’t be an update on Sunday night…
