Friday - Rainy, snowy and cold
I got to bed a few minutes early last night, that made a nice change. I woke up before my alarm this morning, went downstairs and then got dressed and snoozed for a while. F called a bit after 10 to say that he was expecting a delivery soon (the driver had called him), so I went downstairs and a couple of minutes later got his box.
I grabbed my breakfast and brought it and the box upstairs. I had breakfast, watched some YouTube and then the news. I was cold so I watched that from the bed, but went downstairs afterwards.
I had lunch and as I have been doing lately, I watched another episode of Fringe and this was a cracking good one. They have all seemed to be good lately.
When the episode was over, I buckled down and finished my column. I read it over, changed a word here and there and then formatted it to send into the editor. I did that and then watched the news on TV.
F called at 5:20 ish and we talked about going out tonight. We had thrown the idea out last night and decided to try. I said I’d go downstairs and make a meal for K as I had some things I think she’d like. F got back while I was washing my dishes. He said that he’d tried to book a taxi for us, but the company was busy. He tried calling another company, but they were busy too. We talked about taking the car out and then calling the drive-your-car-back-for-you service afterward but realized that there was just nowhere to park near the place we wanted to go. It was really rainy and we wouldn’t want to walk far in the rain. So, we decided not to go. Boo!
I made dinner for us all. It was fine. I kept it very simple and it worked. We had pasta with a ginger Pepperincino sauce. It was really nice. I served that with sliced chicken breast and salad. Most of it disappeared, but there is one serving of pasta left.
Dinner was good, and afterwards, I did the dishes. It didn’t take too long as I hadn’t used many pans and they weren’t messy. K went to bed and F and I decided we’d go out for coffee since it was still early.
I got changed and then we went out to Komeda. We ended up having some fries and some fried chicken while we were there. It was rather nice.
We came back to the house afterwards and I took a shower. It was darn cold downstairs, but the shower was okay.
I came back upstairs and started working on my computer stuff and getting ready for blogging. Now, I have finished. Yay.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
