Sunday - Cold and snowy, cloudy
I slept in today. Oh, I woke up a little bit here and there, but for the most part, I slept until noon and it was wonderful. F came upstairs around noon and asked if I wanted to go for lunch soon. I said yes, but when I got up to get dressed, he took a nap! I don’t think he meant to, but he was definitely snoozing.
When he woke up, we talked about lunch and decided to go to Gusto. We had/wanted to do some shopping in that area, so we did that. At Gusto, I had a beef burger and F had some kind of spicy noodles. He said it was Gusto-good, which is almost praise!
After lunch, I went to Gyomu Supa and picked up a few things. I got things like frozen spinach in bulk, some mini-cheeses for my lunches, cornstarch, some bread, and a few other things. After that, we went over to the regular grocery store and I went in and bought groceries. When I was paying F came by and gave me the car keys as he was heading to the washroom! I went out to the car after I packed the groceries.
We came back to the house and I unpacked the groceries and then headed upstairs. I relaxed for a couple of hours and made myself something hot to drink. After 6 pm, F came up and said that he’d given his mother her dinner and that we should go for ours soon. F suggested yakiniku and I was fine with that. He phoned and made a reservation for 7:30. We left the house a little early so that we could make a stop at Yamaya. I wanted to pick up some cocoa for myself. F got some snacks. After that, we hit the restaurant.
We were able to get in right away and had a seat. We had a lovely meal. We did think that the bill was going to be too high, but when we looked over the items, there was a dish on there that F didn’t mean to order. It’s a touchpad kind of thing, and he may have hit something accidentally. We called a waiter and got them to cancel that dish.
We came back to the house via the gas station. We needed to buy some kerosene. F did all the work there and then we headed for the house.
At the house, I put away what I bought at Yamaya and F put the kerosene away. I headed upstairs again, and F stayed downstairs for a bit.
I watched a couple of shows from Apple TV+ tonight. I caught another episode of Slow Horses and then the first episode of the second season of Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveller. It was about being in Sweden at Midsommar and all I could think of was that horrid movie! Still, the show was funny and I liked it.
F has gone to bed and I need to get there soon. Tomorrow morning I have to get up early so I can watch the Academy Awards. I’ve printed off my sheet already and I know who I want to win,s o we’ll see what happens. I also really want to see Ryan Gosling sing “I’m Just Ken” live! I hope Simu Liu gets to join in too!
So, that’s it for me. Gotta get some sleep. Until tomorrow….
