Monday - Rainy and cold
I think I woke up this morning when F left for work, but I didn’t stay awake. I woke up again when I realized my alarm was going off. It was under my pillow so it was hard to hear! I did my usual thing of going downstairs and then coming back to the room and getting dressed. I napped for a little while and then got up.
I had breakfast and watched a bit of YouTube and the news. I did some knitting too. I’m finally decreasing stitches. This hat does seem to be fitting better than my last one did.
I grabbed my lunch and brought it upstairs today. This week I’m trying to use up some of my bagels from the freezer so lunch was a bagel and the leftover piece of pizza from Friday. That was good! While I was eating I watched an episode of The Closer. I quite enjoy that show, but I’m not going to be obsessed with it like I was with Fringe.
Tonight when I went downstairs to start dinner, I had to clean up the kitchen a bit. After that, I started cooking. I made a cucumber pickle thing that K likes, I washed the salad and then made a mushroom sauté. I cooked chicken in the toaster oven and basically had dinner on the table around 7 pm. F was downstairs coincidentally and we were able to eat soon after. Dinner was appreciated and a lot of it disappeared.
After I finished eating, I did the dishes and listened to my podcasts. When the dishes were done, I did up the plastic garbage and I put the bag in the genkan.
I went upstairs, had a rest for a bit and then went downstairs and took a shower. When I came back upstairs F was in bed. I turned off his lights for him.
I watched an episode of The Reluctant Traveller and then I turned off the TV. Since midnight I have been watching some YouTube and working on my usual nighttime things.
Tomorrow I hope to get a start on my next column and of course, I’ll be cooking dinner and shopping for food tomorrow night. Wish me luck!
