Sunday - Rainy and colder
I woke up early this morning and got up. After a trip downstairs, I came back upstairs, changed some of my clothing and then went back to sleep for a while. I dragged myself out of bed around noon. It’s Sunday!
F and I discussed lunch places but as usual he wouldn’t suggest some place to go. Finally I suggested Arpeggio. We drove over and were able to get in right away. F and I had the same thing, the sasami chicken set meal. It was very nice. However, after F ordered, he pulled out his phone, put in his earphone and was lost to me. I got out my phone and read the novel I was reading on it.
After lunch we talked about going for coffee and were driving to a coffee shop. I asked F how he was doing and he said that his shoulder hurt. I suggested that he try to book a massage for himself. I didn’t think that he would do it right away though! We pulled into a parking area and he booked an appointment for himself. We drove back downtown and we got out at S-Mall. I went off on my own, F left a few minutes later for his massage.
I visited Daiso and bought a few things. I got stuck behind a woman who was probably getting her own apartment for the first time today. She had 3 baskets of stuff and the man who was with her kept bringing more stuff. I felt sorry for the clerk, but she kept her head and rang it all up. Finally, she was done and then it was my turn.
I went downstairs and had an ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Today I had Love Potion 31 and Quatro Fromaggio, a cheesy ice cream. It was surprisingly good. I finished my novel too. Hurray.
After that, I went to Doutors and waited for F. I had a decaf iced coffee and it was good. I started to worry about him as he was quite late, so I texted him. As I did that, he came in Doutors! He told me that he was on time at the massage place, but his masseuse was a bit late, so she gave him extra time. He didn’t like his massage that much.
After our drinks, I bought him one when he arrived, we went grocery shopping. F tried to go to the wrong grocery shop, but I got him going in the right direction after all. I went around the shop and bought a few things for the next couple of nights.
I came back to the car, gave F his change and then we came back to the house and I put the groceries away. K was up so I asked if she’d like her bento and I heated it up for her. She didn’t take it right away as she was hanging up F’s clothes on her drying rack. I’m not nice enough to do that for him.
I went upstairs. I spent a bit of time on my computer and then F came up. He asked about dinner but in all honestly, I just didn’t care anymore. He decided to lie on the bed and listen to his phone again.
Around 7:30 I talked to F to check how he was. He wanted to have tempura on rice, but I really didn’t want to go to the restaurant. I like it, but F is totally overdoing it there for me. I suggested Udon for his stomach so we tried to go to one restaurant. For some reason, F went entirely the wrong way and we didn’t get there in time before they closed. I actually joked with him tonight that it must be difficult living in a city for 60 some years and not knowing where things are. He pointed out that he’d only lived in Tsuruoka for 50 odd years as he lived elsewhere for a while!
The first udon place was closed when we got there, so we tried the other one. When we got there, F said that he didn’t want udon and I said I didn’t either. I really didn’t, I just thought it would be better for his stomach. We went in and F had lots of tempura along with his udon. I had the meat udon and a couple of pieces of tempura. I had kabocha and chicken.
After our meal, we just came back to the house. F asked me if I needed to go shopping again. Argh. NO! I did that already.
Back at the house, I headed upstairs and watched a few YouTube videos for a while. After a bit I decided to put on something from the FireStick, so I ended up trying Fallout. I watched the first episode and it was fine, but I don’t know the story. I’ve never played the game it is based on. It was okay, a bit violent. When it finished I watched an episode of The Big Bang Theory which was fine. I turned off the TV after that.
Today wasn’t a good day. I’m quite upset at F. He’s been whiny and cranky all weekend. I know that he isn’t doing well this weekend. His stomach problems are rearing up again. I’ve been trying to get through to him that he can’t eat “iffy” food anymore. If something gets left out on the table overnight, F will still eat it…it’s starting to get too hot for that to be safe. He listens to me but does whatever he wants. It drives me crazy.
Anyway, I’m off to bed soon. It’s been a crap day and I want to forget about it. I hope that tomorrow is a better day. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day.
