Sunday - Rainy and cooler
I went to bed a little late last night but didn’t sleep that well. I woke up around 5:30 or so because I just couldn’t breathe. I coughed, blew my nose a few times and managed to sleep on. I got up later, used the washroom and then went back to bed. I really didn’t feel well this morning. I think it could have been that I had too many carbs yesterday or just that this darn cold still hasn’t gone away.
F came upstairs around 11 and asked if I’d like to go to the restaurant he suggested yesterday. I told him I didn’t really feel that great, but I would go if he wanted to try. He said no. I suggested that he go out for ramen or something that he wanted and then get me a bento afterwards. I really didn’t want to get out of bed! He didn’t go out and have ramen, but he did go to a nice bento place and got me a very nice chicken bento. I ate that and I felt a little bit better.
F had an appointment with his mother’s social worker at 3 pm. He came up and asked me if I’d join them. This is at least the third appointment and no one has asked me to join before so I begged off. I really wasn’t feeling up to meeting new people and I wasn’t dressed for it. To be honest, I went back to sleep. F came upstairs a bit later and relaxed. He took a nap and we had a bit of a snuggle later.
Around 6 pm we started talking about dinner and going out and getting groceries as well. F made his mother something to eat and then we went out.
We went to Kappa Sushi and had to wait a while until we could be seated. It was quite busy. We ordered some sushi. I ordered some fries and F and I ordered some tempura asparagus and eggplant. F kept trying to get me to order more deep-fried food, but I said no. He knows that I’m trying to cut down on fried foods. He ordered a few more things for himself and afterwards said that he had overeaten and didn’t feel that good about it.
After we finished and left the restaurant, we went to the grocery store. I went in and picked up a few things for dinner and breakfasts. F is off work on Tuesday as he has to go back to the hospital (for his one-year post-surgery check-up).
We came back to the house after the meal. F had to pop out again immediately to get some adult beverage. I put away the groceries and then went upstairs. I relaxed at my computer, and after a while, I watched some YouTube and then another episode of Fallout. I’m still undecided about that show. I keep hoping it’ll get better, but it isn’t really working for me!
Anyway, that’s about it for me. I hope I’ll feel better tomorrow. If I don’t, F has promised to take me to a doctor on Tuesday.
