Tuesday - Cloudy and rainy, muggy
Well, the forecast typhoon didn’t hit us, I’m glad to say. We got a bit of the humid weather and a bit of rain yesterday especially, but we were fine. I was hoping that we would be, we usually are.
In other news, things did not really improve between F and I. I got up around 11 this morning and he went back to bed and slept for a while. He’d got up early to feed his mother I think. He was supposed to go to his hometown area today, but changed his mind. I was sad as I’d planned to get out of here then, even if to just go downtown.
Around 2:30 or so F said that he was going for ramen but would drop me off somewhere if I wanted to get something to eat. I asked him to let me out at Gusto. I went in and got a table right away. Yay. I was worried it would be too busy, but today was okay.
I ordered a small dish of fries, a small chicken and kale salad and a beef burger with a demi-glace sauce and some veggies. I added on a set so I had a bun and drink bar with my meal. To be honest, I enjoyed my meal so much. Lately I’ve been on tenterhooks with F, he hates everything that I like, so eating with him is not pleasant. He complains about everything too, even things that are good. I really enjoyed being by myself for lunch! Sad isn’t it?
I stayed in the restaurant as long as I could and then I texted F to ask where he was. He was waiting in the parking lot so I finished my drink, paid, and went out to the car. As he was still rather cranky, I suggested doing the grocery shopping now. I requested going to the Mina Shopping Area, so he drove me over there and gave me some money.
I went in and got food for the next couple of days. Food for the family and my lunches, nothing for my dinner. I came back to the car and on the way back to the house F said that he was going to go to Shimamura, the clothing store. I asked if he’d let me drop off the food in the house as I had some frozen food in my shopping. He wasn’t thinking of taking me, but did say he would if I wanted to go. I told him that it was fine, I’d stay at the house.
I went into the house and put the groceries away. I went upstairs after I finished that and turned the air conditioner back on and relaxed a bit. F came back a bit later and gave me some socks. Is there any wonder that I feel a little like Dobby?
F went downstairs and spent most of the evening downstairs. I spent most of the evening upstairs. When it became apparent that dinner would not be offered to me, I went downstairs fairly late and grabbed some stuff from the fridge. Luckily, I had saved some leftovers for myself. They were delicious!
I watched Resident Alien tonight at 11pm and it was hilarious as usual. I really enjoyed it. F came upstairs and went to bed. He seems to be sleeping now.
Well, that’s about it for now. It wasn’t a great day and I am so glad that F is going back to work tomorrow. At least I hope he is. He just wasted his day off in my opinion, so I hope he’s happy. I wasn’t too impressed with having to spend yet another day in this house needlessly. If it hadn’t been Obon, I would have tried to go to another city for a couple of days but I was worried that the trains or buses would be too busy for comfort.
