Thursday - Sunny and warmish, rainy at night
This morning I woke up around 6 and had to go downstairs. I’m not sure why I woke up and I wasn’t very happy about it. I came back to bed and went back to sleep. I didn’t wake up when F left, which I’m glad about! I woke up a bit later and got up and dressed.
I got my breakfast together and came upstairs to eat. I had a quiet afternoon and it was nice. I did a bit of watching of YouTube and running downstairs. It was a quiet day really.
I went downstairs a little early to get my lunch made, and then brought it upstairs to eat. Today I decided to watch an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It was an okay one, about a mummy from South America that came to life. I was surprised to see Gil Birmingham in it as I’ve seen him in a lot of other series like Yellowstone. He had a tiny role in this.
At 4 I watched the news and then a bit more YouTube. F called fairly early on tonight and then I got ready to go downstairs. I went down after a bit and then I got started on dinner.
Tonight I made chicken drumsticks in the air fryer, which I served with rice that F made, salad from the store, potato salad and some spinach. That was nice. Dinner was quite good and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I had made a plate up for K before dinner which was a good thing, as most of the food disappeared!
I did the dishes and listened to a few podcasts while I did that. I’m listening to one at the moment that is discussing The Matrix and it’s really interesting. I listened to another one that was about Thunderheart with Val Kilmer and Graham Greene. They called the latter a North American Native actor and I’m not sure if that is the correct term or not. He’s actually a Canadian actor…I’m not sure if we’d call him a Native Canadian actor or if the North American part refers to North America or America! Not living in Canada I lose touch with the use of politically correct English since I don’t use it every day…well, I try to, but I don’t hear it as often as I would if I lived in Canada.
After I finished the dishes, I went upstairs and changed my clothes to go out. F and I went to Mina and he came in the store with me. As usual, he did his usual walkabout and buggering off when I wanted to put things in the cart. Sigh. He wasn’t feeling well tonight, but he does get a bit annoying at times.
Back at the house he unpacked half of the groceries and I wish he wouldn’t bother. He gives me things that go in different sections of the fridge all at once. I like to put my stuff away as I like! Still, it got done!
I went upstairs and relaxed. At 11pm I watched DOC and it was another good episode. I have been enjoying this show and seeing how the characters are changing around this “new” doctor.
And that’s about it for my day. I did contact my hair stylist and made an appointment for next week. And, I spent a few minutes looking at the people running for Parliament in my riding back in Canada. Well, I didn’t look AT them, I looked through their websites to see if they were people that I could relate to or if I liked what their party stands for. I found at least one that I won’t be voting for! I have a couple of candidates for my vote in mind but I have to decide soon. I really need to send my ballot back soonish in case the mail is still slow.
Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
