Thursday - Cooler, rainy and a bit humid
I woke up this morning when my alarm went off. I went downstairs and then I came back to the room. I did my video and snoozing thing. It was quite hot already in the morning. It was about 27 degrees at 8:30 in the morning. Yuck.
I got up a bit later and dressed. I went downstairs to make my breakfast, which I brought back upstairs with me. I ate and caught up with some of my favourite websites! I had a fairly quiet afternoon. I watched much too much YouTube but why not! I didn’t have to turn on the AC early on as it wasn’t that hot in the room. I opened the window and that helped keep it cooler.
I went downstairs to make my lunch but when I came back upstairs I thought it was too humid for me, so I did turn on the air conditioner a little. I ate my lunch and watched an episode of Elspeth. I also watched the news afterwards. I decided that I would finally “fix” a pair of pyjama bottoms that I’ve had trouble with recently. I don’t know if it used to have elastic in the waistband, but it didn’t anymore. I put some elastic in with a bodkin and then I sewed the ends together. Yay me! I took the drawstring out as it wasn’t necessary anymore.
I hadn’t heard from F yet, so I decided to head down to the kitchen. I changed and went downstairs and a few minutes later F called. He had to work a little late tonight.
I was busy in the kitchen tonight so I’m afraid that things didn’t get done in a timely fashion. We ate around 7:30. Tonight I made chicken drumsticks in the air fryer and also some cucumber pickle stuff. We also had rice, salad and steamed spinach. Dinner was quite good I thought, but F didn’t eat much.
I did the dishes afterwards and then went upstairs to relax. I had planned to turn on the AC, but it was cooler upstairs so I didn’t. I relaxed for a while and then I went downstairs. I made myself a bowl of popcorn and then came back upstairs to watch Yellowstone. And oh my goodness. Such happenings.
After midnight I looked at my Facebook history and discovered that a few years ago I prepared a greeting card to send to a friend, so I did that tonight too. Luckily I had a couple of birthday cards, but I think I’ll need to buy a few more. I should really go shopping sometime soonish. I put the card over on F’s phone so that he could mail the card at his office tomorrow. There’s a mailbox there. I have already stamped it!
And that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow I’m on dinner duty again and I’ll probably do a load or two of laundry.
