Friday - Hot and Sunny. 

I woke up this morning when my alarm went off. I was a bit cold as F had turned on the AC before he left. However, when I stepped out of the room it was so hot out there that I couldn’t stand it!

I went downstairs and then came back to the bedroom. I sorted some laundry and then I went back to bed and watched some videos before snoozing a bit.

I got up later and dressed myself. I went downstairs and started the washing machine and then I sorted out my breakfast and brought it upstairs.

I had a quiet morning and afternoon. I kept the room cool, but not too cool. I hung up my laundry and also folded up some earlier laundry and put it away.

Around 3 pm I went downstairs to get my lunch and I brought it upstairs. I watched another episode of Major Crimes and said goodbye to it as it is going to be taken off Prime soon. I have seen the whole series before, so it isn’t a huge deal, but it’s a comfort show for me. 

F called me after 5:20 and said he was on his way. He was going to stop at a grocery store so I suggested picking up something for dessert. He said he would.

I went downstairs and got started on dinner. I was being very simple tonight. I did mini-tomatoes for K and F, a salad, pasta with a seaweed sauce plus some smoked duck. F did bring some Chocolate Coolish for desserts but they were quite soft. I stuck them in the freezer to refreeze. 

Dinner was good. Neither K nor F had seconds which is rather sad, but I did. The pasta was good and so was the duck. When we finished our main course I checked the Coolish and they were harder. We had them and it turned out that they were the perfect consistency to eat. We all enjoyed them.

I did the dishes after dinner and listened to my podcasts. I listened to the news and then half of my favourite movie podcast. I went upstairs and F came up a few minutes later. I had some tea and watched some YouTube and then went downstairs and took a shower.

When I came upstairs afterwards I decided to put on an episode of Gotham. And discovered that it’s being taken off in two weeks. ARGH! As I’m only just starting season 2, there is no way that I can watch the rest of the series. There are at least 5 seasons. Damn. I hope it might come back in a couple of years so I can finish it, but for now it’s annoying. I really, really enjoyed Gotham. I don’t really want to binge shows but it seems like I have to on Prime. 

Since midnight I’ve been watching YouTube and drinking rooibos tea. It’s been quite nice.

I’m not exactly sure what we’ll get up to this weekend. I know that F has something he needs to do and I have to start thinking about my next column which is due at the end of the month.
