Saturday - Hot and Sunny and humid
I woke up this morning a little later than usual. I got up and went downstairs. F was taking his mother to her day service. I came back up to the room and made sure the AC was working. F hadn’t turned it on this morning and it was 29 degrees already at 9 am. Ack.
I ended up going back to sleep for a while but no problem. I started to wake up a bit later and F came in and suggested a soba place for lunch. I wasn’t too pleased about that to be honest, but thought that at least he suggested something! I am always asking him to suggest a place. We were there before but I think I’d had a fight with F and I didn’t like it.
I got dressed and a few minutes later, we left. We drove to the restaurant and got seats. We ordered and a few minutes later got our meals. We had nearly the same thing, except F had a lot more noodles. I had half soba and half udon, F had half soba and half ramen noodles. I quite liked mine, he didn’t really like his. I thought that was a bit funny.
We went to a drugstore next and I picked up a few necessities. F did too. We paid and left.
We hit up a grocery store next to get things for the house. F wanted to get stuff to make kakigori since we just found our old kakigori machine. We got that and a bento for K’s dinner and some snacks. Then, we came back to the house. Honestly, I was a tad disappointed, but it’s okay.
I went upstairs to our sweltering room and stripped. I spent some time on my computer and cooled down the room with the AC again.
I watched some YouTube and relaxed for a while. F came upstairs for a bit and went downstairs again. He did that a few times! He welcomed his mother back to the house and then around 7pm gave her the bento we got for her.
F and I went out for dinner to Gusto and it was rather nice. F had kara-age and I had curry with kara-age, salad and scrambled eggs. It was good.
We shared a plate of fries again. We stayed a bit long in the restaurant, but it was okay.
We came back to the house and upstairs. F fell asleep soon, and I watched FBI tonight. It was a good episode about planes being taken over by Bolivian terrorists.
I almost watched The Phantom of The Opera when it was opened, but decided not to. When I went to see it in the cinema last year, I nearly fell asleep on it. I like it, but it bogs down a bit in the middle.
And that pretty much is my day. Today was also my niece’s birthday and as usual, I don’t get to celebrate with her. I hope she had a good day.
Tomorrow we might do something different for us, but it depends if it is going to be as hot tomorrow as it was today. It was super hot and I don’t want to spend time outside if it is extra hot.
Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
