Wednesday - Rainy but humid and hot

My morning was the usual sort of thing that has been going on lately. I did wake up just before my alarm though. I got up later and went downstairs and made my breakfast which I brought upstairs. I noticed that K had eaten the last ice cream that was in the fridge! F had brought 3 ice creams one day for us all, but we never ate them. Over the last week, K has helped herself to them all. There is real food for her in the fridge but she isn’t eating it. 

I had a quiet day basically. I should be working on my column, but I’m a little ticked off about it at the moment. The editing team has decided that columns must be restricted to 2 pages only. They also asked me to find my own pictures but I honestly don’t think I’ll bother. They don’t care about copyright but I do. Hmm. 

When it was lunchtime, I went downstairs a bit late, made my lunch and came back to the room and watched another episode of Gotham. It was really good and I’m getting even more annoyed that they are taking off the show!

After 5 F called to say he was on his way back. I went downstairs a bit late and and got started on dinner. Tonight I did toaster oven chicken with a salt lemon powder, mushrooms in mayonnaise and soy sauce, salad, cucumber pickle, tomatoes for K and F and some rice too. It was okay. 

After dinner I did the dishes which took a while. When I finished that, I had to start doing the garbage. I got the kitchen stuff done and then did a bit of the living room stuff. I left the bag in the genkan. F was helping me for a while and then all of a sudden he disappeared. I waited a few minutes and then turned off the AC and the lights in the living room. 

I went upstairs. To be fair, F was working on his garbage but I still wondered what the heck he was doing. I told him that I had turned off the lights downstairs and I went to do up my garbage! He went downstairs and set up the rice cooker for me and then came up again and took my garbage away. Yay. 

I relaxed for a while and had a chocolate latte with pistachio and a little after 10 went downstairs to take a shower. I came back to the room just in time to watch Grey’s Anatomy. Many goings on in the show. I liked it today but I don’t know how much medicine actually gets done at that hospital!

And that’s about it for my day. It’s supposed to rain a bit more tomorrow, I hope it’ll be cooler. It’s honestly been nice to have it just a little bit cooler than it has been, but it is terribly humid. I need to run the AC just for that.
