Wednesday - Cooler but clear
This morning I woke up while F was getting ready for work. I tried to pretend I was still asleep, but I had to roll around a bit. I did manage to fall asleep for a little while, but then I woke up just before my alarm went off.
I went downstairs, came back to the room and went back to bed. I watched a few videos on my phone before I fell asleep. I woke up a bit later!
I got up and dressed, then went downstairs and got stuck into making my stew. I had to get out my slow cooker first. Since I hadn’t used it in ages, I gave it a wash, then got into prep work. I peeled, chopped and parboiled a few things, then loaded up my slow cooker. I set the slow cooker and went back upstairs.
I basically didn’t eat breakfast as it was rather late when I finished doing prep. I relaxed for a little bit with some email and YouTube.
I went downstairs to get my lunch around 2:50 and brought it upstairs to eat. I watched another episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. It was quite good. I found out that some of the episodes will be taken off next month, so I’d like to watch them. I think I’ve seen this part of the show before, but I’m not sure.
F called me around 5:30 and then I went downstairs a bit later. I didn’t really have to do a lot of prep, but F was expecting a delivery and I needed to be around in case it arrived before he did. I washed the few dishes from today and then I relaxed. F did come back a few minutes later and we had a nice reunion. He went into the living room to relax and a few minutes he got his delivery.
I got dinner on the table right around 7pm. We had my lovely stew with rice, some salad and cut up cucumber pieces. It was very nice, but no one wanted seconds, except me! I had a little in the kitchen, but the others didn’t want more.
I packaged up the leftovers, some for K, some for me and a bit extra. That’s lunch sorted for tomorrow. Yay.
I did the dishes, listening to my favourite podcasts. When I finished them, I put away my slow cooker and then I did up the garbage. I stored it in the genkan when I was done.
I went upstairs to relax for a bit. I watched some YouTube and then I went downstairs and took a shower.
I came back upstairs and watched the first episode of the second season of Wild Cards. I enjoyed that. It’s a silly show, but sometimes you just have to have a cute show rather than a serious one.
F finally went to bed and I stopped by the bed to say goodnight. I had a quiet night of YouTube.
Tomorrow I’m not sure what I’ll get up to. I might do some laundry or I might not. I need to start thinking about my next column too.
